One of the biggest accomplishments in Stardew Valley is completing the full Museum collection. The local Museum, housed inside the Library, is missing a ton of stuff, leaving its displays empty. Gunther, the curator, will tell you that the former curator made off with all of the items.

Stardew Valley Minerals

Minerals are most often found by mining. Gems can be found in nodes and many other places, while other Minerals can typically be found inside Geodes.

In total, there are 53 Minerals to collect. For ease of reading, we've split this section into two sections: the first contains Gems and foraged Minerals, while the second contains the Geode-exclusive Minerals (with a couple of exceptions).

Should You Donate Everything?

Overall, yes. You should donate everything to complete the collection. Some items are more valuable than others though, so you may want to hold on to them before donating for the first time.

One of these important items is the Prismatic Shard. While you can donate the first one, we suggest holding on to it. The Prismatic Shard can be used to obtain the Galaxy Sword, which is a great weapon to use while exploring.

If you are playing a multiplayer game and want to marry the other player, you will also need a Prismatic Shard to make the Wedding Ring.

When you complete achievements, you will unlock new hats from the hat-selling mouse found in the Cindersap Forest. In the southern portion of this map (near the Wizard's Tower), you will find an abandoned house; this is where you can buy your newly unlocked hats.

Reorganizing The Museum

Thankfully, you are able to reorganize the Museum. To do so, simply go to Gunther and speak with him. Select the option to reorganize, and you will then be able to drag items to new spots. There are more spaces than possible items, giving you some free space to plan your organization.

You will be able to organize at any point, regardless if you have just a few items or every single one donated.
