Updated June 9th, 2021 by Jessica Thomas: Stardew Valley's Sebastian is one of the easiest to recognize bachelors in the game. Many fans even claim that he is the best bachelor in Stardew Valley with fierce amounts of passion. There are tons of things that players should know about this fun character, including some facts that will only come to light once you go through his friend Sam's route. Below are things that every Sebastian fan should know. If you are on the fence about marrying him, then keep reading below to learn whether he's the husband you are looking for or not.

13 He's A Great Musician

While just following Sebastian's route might not involve music that much, he is pretty into it. This can be seen in Sam's heart events when he and Sebastian actually play a show in the city. While some of the faces in the crowd are familiar, there are some fans from outside Pelican Town as well.

This is pretty impressive as it can be hard to get people to come to a show when a band is still new.

12 He Takes His Work Seriously

Sebastian is surprisingly diligent when compared to his friends Hailey and Sam. When you enter Sebastian's room during a heart event, you see him get frustrated with Hailey for not respecting his work time. He doesn't shirk his responsibility even though he could put his work off until later in the day.

This is a pretty impressive feat as he is a young freelancer that could easily get away with a few hang-out breaks.

11 His Dark Aesthetic

One of the first things that players notice about Sebastian is how different he looks compared to the rest of Pelican Town. Sebastian has a punk style that just makes him pop when standing near the other candidates, and this has helped him rise to be one of the most popular bachelors.

Even his room feels much different than the rest of the town, even when considering Hailey.

10 He Explores Caves For Presents

Sebastian Concerned

Sebastian doesn't just sit around all day; he tends to go exploring the local caves from time to time. While players can't ever actually see him crawling through the mine or Skull Cavern, he does give gifts that are found only in these areas on days where the weather is rainy.

These gifts range from Void Essence to frozen tears, which can only be found in lower levels of the mines.

9 He Rides A Bike

We can't say that going on a ride with your boyfriend isn't fun. Just imagine your arms around his torso as you drive off towards the glistening city. If this sounds like your type of date, then you should know that Sebastian is more than willing to do it. In the game, Sebastian owns a motorcycle that he takes the player on a date with, he even stops at a romantic overlook so that you can gaze at the city lights in peace.

Once he moves in, you can even find him outside from time to time, working on his bike. This makes him one of the few characters that own a vehicle.

8 He's Thoughtful

While Sebastian does spend a good portion of the morning snoozing and seems to spend quite a lot of time in his room, he is rather thoughtful. In one of his cutscenes, you find him standing on the end of a dock in the rain. When he notices you come up to him, he makes sure to get you under his umbrella so that you won't get soaked. What's more romantic than watching the waves roll in while you snuggle up under an umbrella.

In the scene, Sebastian also mentions that he is less anxious around you than others, making it even sweeter.

7 He Expresses Interest in You

When you get to an eight or ten heart level with most NPCs, they will drop vague hints about being glad to see you. Sebastian, on the other hand, straight out asks you if you are single or not. He also remarks about how he has more energy when you are around and tells you that you are more than welcome to hang out with for longer.

Sebastian even tells you that your hair looks nice, being one of the only bachelors who compliments you before dating. This shows that he is a sweet but shy boy that truly has an interest in you.

6 He Plays D&D

During the third cutscene, you find yourself accidentally walking in on a game of D&D between Sebastian and Sam. Noticing that you seem a bit interested, Sebastian offers to play with you and lets you make your own character. You then get to click through a few choices in the campaign and even save Sebastian by healing him.

While playing D&D may not be everyone's version of fun, Sebastian wants to include you in all aspects of his life and is happy to have you hanging out with his friends.

5 He Works As A Programmer

If you've ever had to deal with programming languages, then you know that the skill set can be incredibly hard to learn. Even so, Sebastian has carved out his own client base and works as a freelance programmer. Programmers make a decent amount of money, and besides Harvey, no other bachelor seems to really be in a solid career.

Best of all, he is even considered to be one of the younger choices making his quick job progression even more impressive. He even has the willpower to keep a steady work schedule and refuses to go out when he's working

4 He Loves Frogs

Pelican Town is surrounded by nature; even so, not many residents seem to have pets or even want them. The newest expansion in the game, however, reveals that Sebastian has a soft spot for frogs. When you activate the fourteen heart event, you both will go on a walk and find an injured frog. If you choose to let Sebastian keep it, then he will get a terrarium and move them into your house.

He even goes as far as getting another frog to keep the first one company. Whether you like the slippery creatures or not, this is an extremely kind action by Sebastian.

3 He Loves Comics

Talking to Sebastian about his career in Stardew Valley

If you're a fan of comic book series, then you have to at least become friends with Sebastian. One of the two questions he asks is about the type of books you read. If you pick Classic, Romance, or that you don't read, he will comment that's not his thing. If you pick comics as your answer, though, Sebastian immediately becomes excited and wants to know if you've read the latest chapter of his favorite series.

If you're like us, then having a friend or partner to talk about comics books with is a fun experience that everyone should have.

2 He's An Introvert

Sebastian admitting he's reclusive in Stardew Valley

If you hate going out, social interactions, and small talk, then you should go see Sebastian. Not only does his job allow him not to deal with crowds, he barely leaves his room unless he's going on a late-night walk. When Sebastian does go to the bar with his friends, they stay off to the side away from everyone else. He's not the type of guy that you would ever find partying the night away.

When Sebastian moves in with you, he stays there unless he takes a walk. He doesn't feel the need to go out every night.

1 He Loves Sashimi

If you're like most of us, then you love to find a good sushi joint with fresh fish. Sebastian is exactly the same; instead of just loving maki rolls, though, he goes straight for sashimi. While that might sound expensive, he is happy for you to make it for him by catching a few fish and learning the recipe. Even that's easy to get as you simply need Linus at three hearts.

This makes him one of the easiest bachelors to please in the game, and the cost to reach full hearts with Sebastian is much less than other dating options.
