One of the most valuable items in Stardew Valley is the Stardrop. This mysterious fruit will provide your farmer with a permanent boost to their max energy, allowing you to do more in a day and survive longer in each of the various mines.
If you're looking to make any type of progress without having to go to bed super early, you'll definitely want to start searching for these Stardrops. There are seven in total, and each provides you with an additional 34 points in max energy, bringing your total gauge to 508 points after you find them all — you start at only 270 points. Here's how to obtain all seven.
Stardew Valley Fair
One of the first Stardrops most players will come across is the one for sale at the Stardew Valley Fair. The Fair takes place on Fall 16 every year and tasks you with earning enough Star Tokens to be able to purchase various items from the shop, including the Stardrop, which costs a cool 2,000 Tokens.
You can earn Star Tokens through various mini-games at the Fair, but the main bulk of them is typically obtained through the Grange Display — a contest that allows you to show off your best goods to compete for Star Tokens.
Old Master Cannoli
Another Stardrop that can be obtained earlier than some of the others is found in the Secret Woods. This area is found in the northwest corner of the Cindersap Forest and is blocked by a log. Once you've upgraded your axe to steel you can clear this log out of the way permanently.
Inside, you'll find the Secret Woods, which contain some Slimes, a small pond, some forage items, a few hardwood-dropping stumps, and a strange statue. This statue is Old Master Cannoli, and he's looking for "the sweetest taste."
This sweet taste is a Sweet Gem Berry. These valuable fruits can be grown from the Rare Seed, which is purchased from the Traveling Cart. Once you've grown one (either in Fall or in the Greenhouse), bring it to Old Master Cannoli and he'll give you a Stardrop.
Krobus
Unlocking the Sewers is one of the most exciting moments in a playthrough, because it gives you access to Krobus and his fantastic shop stock. You can get into the sewers after obtaining the Rusty Key, which is a reward for donating 60 items to the Museum.
Krobus' shop contains quite a few valuable items, including Iridium Sprinklers, which he sells on Fridays. However, more valuable than even those is the single Stardrop he sells, which can be purchased for 20,000 gold.
The Mines
Every ten floors in the Mines, you'll find a treasure chest with something valuable inside (except for Floor 30, for some reason). Steel yourself against the hordes of enemies and long trek, and you can make it to Floor 100. Here, you'll find a treasure chest containing a Stardrop.
If you're hoping to make it this far in the Mines, you'll want to pack enough food and ensure you have a good weapon. Luckily, once you make it to a floor that's a multiple of five, you can take the elevator there, which means you don't have to make it to Floor 100 in one attempt.
Spouse Gift
Getting married is a big deal in Stardew Valley, and having a spouse who loves you comes with many great rewards. One of them is a Stardrop, which you can receive from your spouse not long after getting married.
Once you get married, you'll be able to level up your friendship with your spouse past the initial maximum of ten hearts. Get that level to 12.5 hearts, and they'll give you a Stardrop as a gift. The same thing occurs with Krobus despite him not being a marriage candidate.
If you marry another player in a multiplayer game instead of one of the NPC marriage candidates, you'll both receive a Stardrop in the mail instead.
Master Angler
Catching all of the fish in the game can be a daunting task, especially some of the extremely rare ones and the Legendary Fish. However, if you manage to find them all, you'll not only finish the Master Angler Achievement, but you'll be seen as a bit of a legend in Willy's eyes.
He'll send you a letter the next day that contains a Stardrop that has been passed down through his family, since he doesn't have children of his own. This one definitely feels more special than many of the others.
Complete the Museum
Finding all of the fish might be hard, but completing the Museum is a lot harder for many people. It all depends on what the game decides to give you in terms of luck and random chance. However, both are definitely very difficult.
Luckily, they both give the same reward: a Stardrop. Once you donate all 95 items to the Museum (both artifacts and minerals), your final reward will be a Stardrop. Thanks Gunther!
