In case you missed the news, Starfield was confirmed to be an Xbox console exclusive during Xbox's E3 showcase, and it's easy to see why PlayStation fans are upset about this news. Bethesda has been releasing games for both consoles for decades, and to suddenly have a vast array of potential titles ripped away from PlayStation owners because Xbox dropped billions one day is a bitter pill to swallow.

Thankfully, it's not all bad since Starfield will be playable on Xbox Game Pass from day one, and Microsoft seems dedicated to bringing cloud services to several devices including Xbox One consoles. Streaming next-gen games on an Xbox One could be a potential way for PlayStation fans to play exclusive games without having to stump up the green for a next-gen console.

For those that do have an Xbox and are excited for Starfield, a bunch of new information about the game has come out since the game's release date was revealed during E3. According to Starfield director Todd Howard, the game is essentially "Skyrim in space"  but harder, and can be played in either first or third person.

Starfield is set to launch on November 11, 2022, although with a release date that far away the game could be delayed into 2023. As previously mentioned, the game will be exclusive to Xbox Series X and PC, although the game will be available to download on Game Pass on the day of release.
