Steam sales are both friendly to PC gamers' wallets and fairly frequent, especially around the holidays. This statement could not be more true if a leak from a reputable source regarding upcoming sales is any indication.
According to a tweet from Steam Database, a source that has accurately leaked previous PC game sales, there are at least three upcoming sales in 2019 and early 2020 coinciding with major inbound holidays.

The sales include the Halloween Sale, lasting from October 28th to November 1st, as well as the Autumn Sale, going from November 26th to December 3rd. Finally, there is the Winter Sale, which occurs from December 19th to January 2nd.
The sales cover Halloween, Thanksgiving, and a variety of winter holidays.
"Multiple developers posted in multiple places despite Valve asking otherwise. But you know how that goes," notes Steam Database in the tweet.
Among the unknown factors is what content will be on sale, which is always a focal point for those awaiting Steam sales. Previous Steam sales have been very generous in their offerings, putting discounts on both new games and older ones. Traditionally, many sales have discounted games from years past substantially. For instance, this year's Steam Summer Sale, leaked by none other than Steam Database, offered many discounts that could allow you to purchase multiple games at a time for the price of a single game.
As for which games will be offered, the Halloween Sale may predictably have more horror- and scare-based games like those from the Resident Evil franchise. This had been the case with past Halloween sales, so it would be completely sensible to replicate it with this Halloween Sale.
It's also possible that some EA games could go on sale on Steam. There have been recent reports that EA games might return to Steam, which might indicate that EA games would go on sale for PC gamers more frequently. While EA's full library being accessible on Steam by the Winter Sale is fairly unlikely as it stands, it is definitely an intriguing thought for PC gamers. In any case, if these leaks are correct, the Halloween Sale is just around the corner. As such, have your wallets prepared.
