The Day Before, the most anticipated game in the world on Steam, is being made by part-time unpaid volunteers. Even the paid staff are labelled as volunteers due to developer Fntastic's "culture is based on the idea of volunteering." Sounds similarly fishy to when a company describes its employees as one big family.Fntastic's volunteering ideology was spotted by Well-Played (via News.com.au). There are currently no openings for full-time volunteers listed on Fntastic's website. However, the studio's website claims, "Anyone can be a part-time volunteer to contribute to the Fntastic community," you just need to get in touch.RELATED: The Subtle Terror Of Resident Evil’s Iconic 'Turning Around Zombie'So what do part-time volunteers actually get for contributing to what is supposedly a triple-A game? Well, for completing "various activities ranging from translating to community moderating," and offering "unique skills to improve our projects or create new special features," part-time volunteers will be given "cool rewards, participation certificates, and free codes."

It isn't a good sign that a game with triple-A scope, developers who have already released several games, and a publisher is relying on unpaid volunteers to do critical roles such as translating and community moderation. These are all jobs that should be done by paid workers.

The Day Before is an open world MMO zombie survival game. It was initially intended for a June 21, 2022 launch date, but the developer's decision to migrate the entire game to Unreal Engine 5 has pushed that back to March 1, 2023.

In other news, Ace Attorney fans are up in arms over people calling a hot clown lady hot. An animation showing her snapping her suspenders over her chest has caused some to believe the very sanctity of the game has become tainted, while others simply do not care.

It is also rumoured that EA is going to announce the next instalment in the Need For Speed series as well as its final FIFA game next month. This new Need For Speed game will reportedly contain "anime elements," and while we don't know exactly what that means, we're sure as hell excited by it.
