  • The game tells a fairly standard JRPG story, but does so with funny writing and likable characters. 2 / 9

  • Instead of a typical turned based RPG battle system, the game uses a Hearthstone-esque deck building card system to fight off enemies. 3 / 9

  • You have to really think about which cards to use in battle. Figuring out your strategy in each battle is very satisfying. 4 / 9

  • While the graphics are pretty standard, the character and world designs are fantastic. Captain Canary is a real standout character due to his goofy look. 5 / 9

  • The battle system isn't perfect however. You can only choose the cards in your hand before battles, and that hand may not always be helpful against certain bosses. 6 / 9

  • Fights can also be a bit drawn out, and you may find yourself with a hand of cards that are pretty useless. 7 / 9
