What is roblox?

Roblox was made for kids, and now more than half of the children in the United States under the age of 16 play this game.

It was created as a social platform, with in-game chat features and web chats so players can stay connected.

Roblox is planning to expand to an older audience by implementing entertainment events and classroom lesson tools.

David Baszucki came up with the idea after formerly creating very successful interactive physics programs.

The game was in beta in 2004, but it was finally in the hands of consumers in 2006 and has only gone up from there.

Roblox underwent many changes over the years. It was originally called "DynaBlocks", and it has seen many logo adjustments as well.

Roblox doesn’t constrain you to one game, as there are hundreds to choose from, although quality is not always guaranteed.

Players can use the Lua language in the Studio to create their own games, and some have become millionaires doing this.

There is something for everyone as there are horror, RPGs, shooter, and mystery games to name a few.

You don’t have to pay a dime to sign up for an account or play most of the games, but there are some paid access games.

You are not restricted to your PC as it can also be played on iOS, Android, Mac, Xbox, and Amazon devices.

You can play some VR Roblox games using the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, and many times this mode can be turned on or off.

Parents can adjust the chat settings and even set what games their child can play to keep them safe on the internet.

Robux can be purchased using real money and it is used for things like buying new avatar items and in-game perks.

Your avatar can be customized through the catalog by purchasing specialty items and accessories with Robux.

Players can trade limited items and Robux amongst one another to collect some of the rarest items in the game.

There is a subscription called Roblox Premium which gives several advantages, with the biggest being a monthly stipend of Robux.

The company is going public with a direct listing and they plan to begin trading on March 10th.
