Story of Seasons is celebrating 25 years. What started with Harvest Moon soon led to a bajillion games on every platform imaginable, from GameCube to PlayStation to handhelds like the Nintendo DS and PSP. In 2014, Harvest Moon rebranded itself to Story of Seasons here in North America, but that didn't seem to stop this beloved farming simulator from maintaining its upward momentum.

To celebrate 25 years of success, developer Marvelous has two big game announcements. The first is for the more recent Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, which is getting a PC release on Steam after hitting the Nintendo Switch earlier this year. Alongside the Steam release will also come a free Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin-themed costume, which you can download from the Nintendo eShop or Steam for a limited time.

The other big announcement is a PS4 and Xbox One release for Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. Originally released for the Switch and PC in July 2020, this remake of the original Gameboy Advance game is finally getting a wider console release over a year later.

Pioneers of Olive Town will arrive on Steam on September 15, while Friends of Mineral Town will hit PlayStation and Xbox storefronts on October 15. Pre-orders are available now.
