When you are given new tools, they will be put into your Tool Bag, which you can find in your inventory menu.

In order to use your tools, you will have to move them from your Tool Bag and into your main inventory. Once in your inventory, you can select whichever tool you need to use and an on-screen prompt will appear when you are next to something the tool can be used on.

When you are finished with your tools, you can pop them back into the Tool Bag in order to free up some valuable inventory space.

How to Upgrade Tools

You can upgrade your tools at Clemens's Tool Store (apart from the Camera and Leash, which have no upgrades). The Tool Store is open every day apart from Tuesday between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. If you travel north through town, it is the third building on your left.

Upgrading tools allows you to perform tasks, increases the area of effect, or allows you to use charged actions to increase their effectiveness. To upgrade tools you will need both money and crafting materials. The materials required are lumber and ingots, with the type of ingots needed depending on the upgrade level.

There are five different levels when it comes to tools:

  • Base level (the version you first receive)
  • Iron
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Orichalcum
