Netflix has unveiled a brand-new teaser trailer for the upcoming fourth season of Stranger Things. The new teaser, titled “Creel House”, doesn’t offer a ton of information on what the new season will focus on, but does show that the new season will continue to bring the spooky and strange.

Released as part of Netflix’s fan event, “Tudum”, the 90-second trailer takes viewers into the titular Creel House. During the event, co-creator Matt Duffer noted that this house would be an important location for the season, and judging by the teaser, the house will inject a new kind of fear into the show. The teaser opens to a seemingly happy family moving into the house sometime during the 1950s. The trailer then shows the family of four experiencing some rather disturbing events before the teaser flashes forward to the season’s 1980s setting.

Here, fans are treated to everyone’s favorite babysitter Steve (Joe Kerry) as he, along with Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Max (Sadie Sink), break into the spooky Creel house. After some humorous banter between best buds Dustin and Steve, the teaser cuts to the attic of the house where a giant grandfather clock sits ticking and collecting dust. Then, the grandfather clock is shown sitting in the Upside Down as the glass begins to crack before the trailer cuts off. What could it all mean?

It has been a long wait for the fourth season of the popular sci-fi show. Season three debuted back in the summer of 2019, and news on this upcoming season has been pretty scarce. However, that seems to be changing as we near an actual release. Back in August, fans were treated to their first look at the new season with a 30-second teaser trailer that interspersed new footage with footage from the first three seasons. This teaser also alluded at a 2022 release for the season.

Earlier this month, Noah Schnapp, who portrays Will Byers on the series, revealed during an interview that the season had completely wrapped filming a few weeks ago. In the same interview, he also teased that a new teaser for the season was being made, which proved correct as this new trailer just dropped.

While this new trailer doesn’t offer much, it is just enough to keep fans guessing on what awaits their favorite D&D-playing nerds. Again, no official release date has been offered yet, but the new season is expected sometime in 2022, and it looks like we will be getting a lot more information in the coming months.
