EVO 2022 wraps up today with the grand finals to The King Of Fighters XV, Tekken 7, and Street Fighter 5 tournaments. But even without the excitement of a top eight finish, there’s been plenty of big announcements to keep this year’s EVO exciting. One of the bigger announcements was two more commentators for Street Fighter 6’s real-time commentary feature. First announced back at Sony’s June State of Play, Capcom is working with “well-known FGC (Fight Game Community) commentators and other recognizable faces” to bring the excitement of esports to every match. Related: There's Nothing As Satisfying As Winning At Fighting GamesCapcom first announced Jeremy "Vicious" Lopez as Street Fighter 6’s first English commentator and Aru as the game’s first Japanese commentator. And at EVO 2022, Capcom added two more names to the list.

First is Steve "Tasty Steve" Scott, a well-known content creator and fighting game enthusiast with almost 50,000 followers on Twitch. Steve was over the moon to be introduced at the Street Fighter 6 panel as the game’s next commentator.

"Ayyye, thank you ALL for the Love on being in #SF6 as a commentator!!" wrote Steve. "I still can’t believe it. Like actually in street fighter. I actually wanna scream out loud every time I think about it lol but we’re in public lol damn this is wild.”

The second new voice to join Street Fighter 6 is legendary fighting game commentator James Chen. "Thanks for everyone for the congratulations. I still can’t believe this is actually real," he wrote on Twitter. "I read all the messages and I really appreciate every one of them. This can’t be called a dream come true because I don’t think I could have ever *dreamt* of this happening! I’m so honored."

Street Fighter 6’s real-time commentary system will offer both Japanese and English recaps of on-screen actions, excited shouts from big plays, and gameplay explanations for newcomers to better grasp the game mechanics. The game will also offer subtitles to commentary in 13 languages.

Besides the all-new commentary system, Street Fighter 6 is offering both refreshed looks and sounds for classic Street Fighter characters, including new themes for Ryu, Guile, and more. Street Fighter 6 arrives sometime in 2023.
