Street Fighter turns 35 this year and one of the ways Capcom is marking the occasion is by teaming up with Epic. Well, technically by teaming up with Epic again as four Street Fighter characters have already been added to Fortnite in the past. This week, it was revealed that the group of four will soon become six as Sakura and Blanka will join Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li, and Cammy in The Loop.

Epic alternates between adding crossover characters to Fortnite through cups, as part of a Battle Pass, or by simply making them available to buy through the in-game store. Sakura and Blanka will be arriving on the island via the first method before being added to the in-game store later this week. There will actually be two Blanka and Sakura cups before the characters become readily available. One for everybody, and the first one which will be a mobile exclusive.

Unlike other crossover character cups, the two featuring Blanka and Sakura don't appear to be offering a chance to win the new skins before they become available to everyone else. Just the chance to win a Bonus Stage loading screen which, in fairness, is pretty cool, especially if you're an old-school Street Fighter fan. It will also presumably not be available to buy or earn outside of those cups.

The mobile-exclusive cup will be a Zero Build Solo tournament taking place on April 27, and the all platform tournament will take place the following day. Players will have the chance to play up to ten matches during their region's three-hour window. A breakdown of the points structure can be found on Epic's website. You will be able to compete in both tournaments if you have the devices to do so, meaning two chances to unlock that loading screen.

As for the skins, alternate looks, and accompanying items, those will be added to Fortnite's in-game store at 8 pm ET on April 28. Blanka and Sakura join what is quickly becoming a pretty big crossover cast this season. Dr. Strange was added to the game to kick things off and has been joined by his fellow MCU hero Moon Knight, as well as items officially inspired by Wu-Tang Clan.
