You know Jason Voorhees. If he wants to hop into Street Fighter V and take over Metro City, you’d best believe that he’s going to go right the heck ahead and do it. Who’s going to argue with him and his machete? Nobody, that’s who.

You know what’s funny? Crossovers in gaming. We’ve come such a long way over the last few years. If you’re a decrepit old gamer who remembers the bitter console wars of the 1990s, you’d never have believed that Mario and Sonic would appear together in titles like Super Smash Bros. and those Olympics-based minigame compilations that just keep coming. While we’re on that, the likes of Freddy Krueger, a Xenomorph, and potentially the Evil Dead's Ash Williams in Mortal Kombat? What a wild time to be alive.

You know what else is funny? Mods, that’s what. One of the key advantages of PC gaming is the sheer, mind-boggling array of odd, super-neat things you can do with your favorite games. If you thought that we reached peak modding glory when Keanu Reeves was added to Metal Gear Solid V… well, you’re totally right, because it’s a beautiful thing to behold. Still, buckle up, because there’s another fantastic mod in town, this time for Street Fighter V.

As we know, the modding community never asks "why." They ask, "why not?" Don’t get hung up on trivial questions like, why would I change Resident Evil 2’s Mr. X into Thomas the Tank Engine? Just make it happen. The latest fruit of that school of thought? Jason of Friday the 13th fame, taking Metro City as an altered Cody - complete with machete.

That’s right, friends. As Event Hubs reports, Street Fighter V has been around for over three and a half years now, but its modders are as enthusiastic as ever. This particular mod - which even sees the pipe Cody uses to bash his foes during his V-Trigger 2 replaced with Jason’s signature machete - is a work of art. It’s been created by Chempro, and you can check it out right here:

The strangest part is how well this works.
