Those looking forward to new Street Fighter V news better mark August 5 off on their calendars. Capcom has announced that it will be talking about the fifth and final season of its latest installment in the popular fighting franchise on that date. A special Livestream will be held on the Capcom Fighters Twitch page that will include a reveal of the last bits of DLC for this aging game.

In addition to that, some special guests and eSports news will be discussed on the stream, likely in relation to how Capcom will promote this final season. It will all go down at 10:00 am PDT and there's only one thing I'm hoping for.

Despite a rough launch in 2016, Street Fighter V has turned around considerably. It may not represent the absolute best of the series, but Capcom's continued support has made the fighter well worth investing in. Due to the coronavirus situation, a fifth season was announced back in May and many were stunned.

It's possible that Capcom would have been putting efforts towards Street Fighter VI, but wasn't able to with work from home restrictions in place. That's all a bunch of speculation, but we can only hope that some long-requested fan-favorites make their way into Street Fighter V soon. Let's go, Dan!
