One of the biggest Twitch fads for the past few weeks has been GTA Online role play. Even though Rockstar has a newer cowboy-themed game out, and despite the rise and fall of several battle royales, viewers are still flocking to watch streamers mess around in Los Santos. The role play element has been key in keeping the game fresh, allowing players to do more than just steal and shoot. Yet even that has its limits, it seems, as one top GTA RP streamers is calling it quits.

Summit1g made a name for himself long before GTA. He used to be a Counter Strike pro, and still dabbles in shooters from time to time. His latest exploits have seem him taking on the role of Charles Johnson on GTA RP. He likes to cause chaos as Johnson, but has lately expressed boredom with those antics. He was considering trying a new character, a cop, to spice things up. That is, until he got himself thrown in jail.

It started when he and a friend tried to blow up a police car for some reason. The friend poured gasoline on the vehicle from above whole Summit1g aimed his gun at it. The idea was to shoot and ignite the gasoline, causing an explosion. However, as the clip shows, nothing happened. To make matters worse, the in-game cops showed up. They gunned Summit1g down before he could enter his getaway car.

"“I’m done with this," he tells viewers as he takes off his headphones. "This is my last day on NoPixel - it’s officially, it really is. Officially, I’m so stupid that I’m done.”

The game then transitions his character to a jail cell. He had to serve time for his crime,  40 minutes worth. He wasn't about to subject his viewers to that, so he ended the game. Meanwhile, someone on his chat tried to convince him to return after his imprisonment.

"Tonight doesn’t matter, what happened today doesn’t matter," he replied, assuring viewers that it wasn't a case of temporary rage. “It’s like, the end of the rope is near. I can already feel it. I have too many bored moments, so I can tell. And that's when I know, it's coming to a close. I need to find something to replace, feel me?”

Summit1g doesn't seem to speak for the majority, however. As of this writing, GTA V has the second-most viewers on Twitch, behind only Fortnite. He might be bored, but viewers aren't.
