Cooking is a big part of Sun Haven. There are tons of seasonal bosses and tough enemies to face in different regions. Multiplayer does not currently allow co-op fighting in a boss fight, so you will want to prepare as much as you can with ingredients that heal and power you up.

Sugar is a staple ingredient in many recipes from food to actual crafting machines, and can be collected in a few different ways. The guide below will detail everything you need to know about sugar in Sun Haven.

Where To Get Sugar

You can purchase sugar as is without making it from scratch. The cheapest place to buy sugar is at Liam's Bakery, just north of your Sun Haven farm. The bakery sells a range of different ingredients that are needed for recipes, like Pie Crust.

The next best place to get sugar is the Sun Haven General Store, but you won't find sugar sitting in a for-sale section on the floor. You will have to speak to Emmett directly and browse his wares that are not on display.

The Withergate General Store also happens to sell sugar for only ten Tickets. If you are down on regular currency but have Tickets to spare, or you just find the Withergate General Store to be the closest, this option is best.

How To Make Your Own Sugar

Producing your own ingredients and materials is better than relying on other people and wasting money. You can make sugar from scratch. All you need is Sugar Cane Seeds. These can be purchased at the Sun Haven General Store for 80 regular coins. They may also be on sale for 70 coins.

In your Farming Skill Tree, you are able to unlock the skill Thrift Hunter which makes the prices of seeds on the floor (not in regular inventory when speaking to Emmett) at the General Store lower by up to 15 percent.

If you happen to have Sugar Cane but no extra seeds, you can actually recycle Sugar Cane into Sugar Cane Seeds using the Seed Maker. One Sugar Cane and eight Mana will yield two Sugar Cane Seeds.

Sugar Cane Seeds are not seasonal, meaning you can plant them no matter what season you are in, and they will survive and thrive. They take six days to fully grow.

Once you have harvested your own Sugar Cane, you must convert it into sugar using the Baker's Station. Since the Baker's Station requires sugar to even craft, you will have to purchase some from the store.

With the Baker's Station, one Sugar Cane can be turned into one Sugar.

Recipes That Use Sugar

You can craft a Baker's Station with sugar. The Baker's Station is useful for creating base items that are needed for full recipes - full recipes are then crafted with an Oven. The Jam Maker and Baker's Station are the more important furniture items that can be crafted with sugar.

There are tons of food recipes that require sugar. The most notable ones will be recipes that give you an equal amount of Health and Mana. When you are going on an adventure, and there are tons of enemies to face, it is important to have something that will replenish both your Health and Mana.

Some food only replenishes Health or Mana, but not always both. Cakes and Jams are best. Most cakes will have a heavy amount of both Health and Mana replenishment. All jams will give you a strong buff as well, such as the Lemon Jam providing a 100 Farming XP increase.
