A unique shopping bag featuring images promoting the still-unopened Super Nintendo World themed area has been recently spotted at the Universal Studios Japan theme park.

On July 13, Twitter user GoRiRiN (@GR_U_D) posted a photo of a Universal Studios Japan executive carrying a red and white bag prominently displaying the Super Nintendo World logo on the side. The front of the bag features a design showcasing the green warp pipe from the Mario franchise, with Mario's white-gloved hand holding up a signature red cap, complete with an "M" on the front. The text on the bag is a little difficult to read, though it appears to say "COMING TO JAPAN 2020".

Unfortunately, the identity of the person holding the bag is unknown. Super Nintendo World is also still under construction and not officially open, so it's unclear how this person received this bag. As the shopping bag references Super Nintendo World's eventual opening, it's possible that this bag is being used throughout the rest of the park as promotion for the upcoming themed area, though this the first time this kind of bag has been spotted at Universal Studios, at least on social media.

Though the bag implies Super Nintendo World's opening date is sometime this year, news recently broke that the park's opening would be delayed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic that originally pushed back the park's Summer 2020 opening date.  While no specific new opening date has been publicly announced, The Business Times reported that Universal Studios Japan is hoping the new themed area can open sometime in 2021.

Despite delays and the worldwide health crisis, construction on the park appears to be going smoothly, with much of the park already finished. Park-goers have been able to take photos of the park from other areas of Universal Studios; these photos show some of the completed areas, such as Bowser's castle, Koopa Troopas, Pirahna Plants, and Peach's castle. Some patrons have even taken videos of some of the park's motion features, including Thwomp blocks moving up and down, Yoshi running around trees, and spinning coins.

Super Nintendo World is currently under construction at Universal Studios Japan now.
