Any news related to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate gets fans foaming at the mouth. One of the most successful games on the Nintendo Switch, its DLC roster has included so many unexpected additions that fans are still reeling from the news of Persona 5's Joker joining the roster. We're already at the fourth character and it's crazy to fathom how we got here.

Still, the internet was sent into a frenzy when Nintendo randomly announced that it would be hosting a Smash Bros. Direct focused on its upcoming DLC fighter Terry Bogard. Scheduled for Wednesday, November 6 at 5 am PST, there's a very real chance that Terry will be jumping into the fray shortly after. Nintendo did this with both The Hero and Banjo-Kazooie, after all.

For those unaware of who Terry even is, he hails from the Fatal Fury series. The brainchild of developer SNK, Fatal Fury was a direct competitor to Capcom's Street Fighter back in the early 90s. The two companies would compete with a plethora of fighting games before joining forces to create the excellent Capcom Vs SNK titles. You can learn more about Terry from TheGamer's own history piece.

As for the moves Terry will have, there's a couple that have become inseparable from him. The most obvious inclusion is his fireball, "Power Wave." A ground-based projectile, it's almost comparable to the "Hadouken" in terms of fighting game importance. That's not the only trick Terry has up his sleeve, though.

"Crack Shoot" is an overhead swinging kick that Terry can bust out to stop jump-ins. "Burning Knuckle" is a straight punch that was featured in Terry's Smash reveal video, so that's obviously here. Another would be his "Rising Tackle," a straight upward spinning kick that is similar to the "Shoryuken" from Street Fighter. It's quite remarkable how closely Terry matches Capcom’s fighters.

When it comes to Final Smashes, Terry has a few options here. The most recognizable move from the King of Fighters titles would have to be "Power Geyser," a series of rising projectiles that Terry sends flying forward. It's also possible that he'll have a double Final Smash like Ryu and Ken, sporting both Power Geyser and "Buster Wolf." Buster Wolf is a dash attack that sends Terry careening forward and unleashing a series of punches that culminates in an explosion. It makes for a grand finish.

As for costumes, the main one teased is Terry's default design from Fatal Fury. Sporting a sleeveless red jacket with a baseball cap, white shirt, and blue jeans, Terry's design is very basic with a little bit of zest. It's not unlikely that various colors will be present, but there's a chance Terry will also be sporting his Garou: Mark of the Wolves brown jacket and long hair. Either look is awesome and with Smash's attention to detail, Nintendo will likely nail every minute aspect of Terry’s appearance.

Whatever happens, chances are we'll know in short order. Nintendo is holding a 45-minute Direct to talk about a single character, so there's almost no doubt that Terry is ready to go. He looked pretty solid when we saw him a few months back, so why delay it?

Get ready, fellas! Terry will soon be in the pink!
