If you love collecting spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and also happen to be a big fan of Animal Crossing, Nintendo has an event lined up just for you. Running this week from April 3 until April 8, a ton of Animal Crossing: New Horizons themed spirits will be invading Smash in the ultimate crossover event.
Announced on the Japanese Smash Bros. Twitter account, this event will put the already existing Animal Crossing spirits back into the rotation while bringing a ton of new ones. Some of the confirmed newcomers include Flick, Daisy Mae, C.J., Orville and Wilbur, and Zipper T. Bunny. There could be some other ones we don't even know about.
With these new spirits available, the total number of Animal Crossing collectibles in Smash Bros. will be brought up to 43. That's a lot of representation for the plucky little series, even if there are only two playable fighters. At least Nintendo loves this series as much as fans do.
To collect the spirits, you'll simply need to visit the spirit board and get lucky. You can use some of those stocked up items to reshuffle the board, which will give you a better chance of spotting something you're missing.
