Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has added a new Metroid Dread Spirit Board to celebrate the launch of Samus' latest adventure.

The Spirit Board was announced by the official Japanese Super Smash Bros. account, which said, "Fight against fear! Metroid Dread" will be held for 5 days. During the period, new spirits of "Metroid Dread" will appear on the spirits board. Please check it out".

The account then detailed each of the Spirits coming to the game. The first of which is the Metroid Dread variation of Samus Aran. This spirit will be represented by Samus Aran in her Fusion outfit and will be a three-star difficulty spirit.

The second spirit included on the Metroid Dread Spirit Board is the E.M.M.I., which is represented by ROB the Robot. It'll also be a three-star ACE difficulty spirit, although it's an attacker spirit rather than Protector class that Samus is.

Finally, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Japanese Twitter revealed that the final Spirit on the Dread Spirit board is the Chozo warriors. Strangely, they're called the "Bird Solider" in the Tweet, despite the fact that the Chozo have been shown off several times in Dread's marketing cycle. They'll be the easiest of the three Spirits to fight, with a two-star difficulty level.

Despite Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ending its set of DLC in the next few weeks, it's cool to see extra content being added to the game in the form of Spirits. It's far from the first time that Nintendo has done this either, with Smash most recently adding a Spirit Board to celebrate No More Heroes 3's launch.
