The next online tournament theme for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been announced and it involves fighters who use the power of electricity in combat.
According to a post on the SmashBrosJP Twitter page, the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament will run for three days, starting from May 15. Players will only be able to choose fighters that possess an electric-type move in their arsenal. The picture that was uploaded alongside the post shows Pikachu, Hero, Ness, Robin, and Zero Suit Samus, but other characters could also make the cut.
Pichu is the most obvious choice for the event, seeing as it uses the same combat style as Pikachu, which is also true of Lucas in regards to Ness. Dark Pit has his Electroshock side specials, while Princess Zelda has her Lightning Kicks. These are just a few characters with electric-type attacks in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the roster for the upcoming tournament could be quite large, depending on if they all make it in.
