Tons and tons of Pokemon fans were more than a little upset after finding out that a decent amount of their favorites wouldn't be appearing in Sword and Shield, whether that meant just at launch or perhaps at all.

It's rumored that there'll be over 100 Pokemon added in the new DLCs coming out for the game, largely returning Pokemon from older generations but that doesn't also mean that there won't be a whole slew of new Pokemon that haven't yet been introduced or Gigantimax forms for a lot of the starters.

7 Galarian Slowking

Galarian Slowking is probably one of the most exciting Pokemon to come around in a while. While we won't pretend like we haven't been impressed with a lot of the Galarian forms that Pokemon has decided to go with recently, there's something really fun about seeing a Slowking who's been entirely overtaken by the poison that's held in the shell he now wears like a crown.

Given that Slowking is more than a little slow, and more than a little dumb, it only makes sense that he'd be susceptible to the parasite that's overtaken him in his new form which we'll finally get to see in the Crown Tundra expansions.

6 Calyrex

The Pokemon is a psychic/grass Pokemon which is pretty fun dual-typing, and the legendaries from all of the previous generations that'll exist in the Crown Tundra will probably be a decent test of Calyrex's meddle. Calyrex is known as the King Pokemon, likely being some sort of protective nature spirit, with all of the adornments around its neck and the crown on its head being formed out of grass.

While it's easy to immediately discount Calyrex for its silly appearance, it's Crown Tundra's mascot which demands some sort of respect for his royalty.

5 Regieleki

Regieleki is a new member of the Legendary Titans which includes Regice, Registeel, Regirock, Regigigas, and another new edition, known as Regidrago. Regieleki, if you couldn't tell from the extremely silly-sounding name, is an electric type.

Regieleki, in addition to deriving all of its power from electrons in its environment, is rumored to be the most powerful electric type Pokemon that exists, although, with the way Pokedex entries usually stack up to actual in-game stats, it's hard to say if that'll work out the way Nintendo is advertising him. Regieleki is also the only Pokemon that exists so far with the ability to use the attack Thunder Cage.

4 Regidrago

Regidrago is another new addition to the game who's a member of the Legendary Titans, leading to speculation that perhaps eventually, every single one of the in-game types might get their own addition to the Legendary Titans roster. That remains to be seen. Anyway, aside from its status in the group, it looks pretty similar to the others, save for the fact that it's powered by crystalized dragon energy, and appears to be an orb surrounded by what appears to be the top of a dragon's head and its lower jaw

. Regidrago is rumored to be the most powerful Dragon-type Pokemon, with the signature move Dragon Energy, which is exclusive to Regidrago.

3 Galarian Articuno

Galarian Articuno marks the first of the three Legendary birds that are getting all-new forms in the region, being released later in October in the Crown Tundra pack. Galarian Articuno shares its designation with Liepard, known as The Cruel Pokemon.

Galarian Articuno is going to be a flying/psychic type Pokemon, which makes its name make less than a little sense to new players, but oh well, Galarian Articuno has the signature move Freezing Glare. Freezing Glare could just be a stare that demoralizes the pokemon, or it could be an ice type move for a Pokemon without any ice typing.

2 Galarian Zapdos

The next of the legendary birds is Galarian Zapdos, and since all three of the birds still obviously keep their flying typing, it makes sense that Galarian Zapdos would be half flying. What makes a little less sense is that Galarian Zapdos' other half is fighting type, which makes it a fairly rare combo.

Galarian Zapdos also has a signature move known as Thunderous Kick. All of the moves of the new type with names implying their normal type could be a hint at something brand new, like triple typing.

1 Galarian Moltres

Galarian Moltres is a dark/flying type, which is a rather interesting decision for Gamefreak to have made for this Pokemon. As if the evolution of Pokemon in different regions would lead to different typing, the dark type of the Galarian form and the fire type of the original is just a little odd, although all of the art that's been released for any of the three Legendary Birds is spectacular.

This Pokemon has a signature move called Fiery Wrath, which is particularly odd for a Pokemon who isn't a fire type. Perhaps it could be double typed with a couple moves from the original pool?
