Sylveon is now playable in Pokemon Unite after being revealed alongside Mamoswine as a new ranged attacker coming to the game earlier this year.

Pokemon Unite continues to grow and made its biggest development so far last month. After only being available on Nintendo Switch for its first two months, Tencent expanded Unite to mobile as promised, opening the free-to-play game up to millions more potential players. Its roster of playable Pokemon also continues to grow with a new addition arriving today.

Sylveon is now available after its imminent arrival was revealed earlier this year. Both the Eeveelution and Mamoswine were first revealed at the end of August and are now both playable in-game. Sylveon will start matches as Eevee and evolve into the Fairy-type once it reaches level four. It's a ranged attacker which means it's the perfect choice for players who like to deal damage from afar.

Eevee will learn Swift and Baby Doll Eyes at levels one and two, both moves trainers familiar with other Pokemon games will know well. Once Eevee reaches level four and evolves into Sylveon you will be given the chance to swap Swift for one of two new moves: Mystical Fire or Hyper Voice. Once Sylveon hits level six, Baby Doll Eyes can be switched out for either Draining Kiss or Calm Mind.

Tencent continues to add new playabale Pokemon to Unite at a pretty impressive rate, something that will be necessary to keep casual fans players interested, especially those who have picked the game up on mobile. Since launch, Blastoise, Gardevoir, Blissey, Mamoswine, and now Sylveon have been added to the game. The next Pokemon coming to Unite is yet to be revealed, but odds are they will be announced soon.

Sylveon will need to be purchased using in-game currency just like almost all of the other Pokemon in Unite. The same goes for any accompanying holowear added for the Eeveelution. New holowear added to Unite caused quite a stir recently. An outfit for Alolan Ninetales added last week will set you back 2000 aeos gems. For the uninitiated, that works out to be about $40. Unite might be free to play, but $40 for a virtual Pokemon outfit is still a little steep.
