Money is often tight in Tactics Ogre: Reborn. You only earn it through story events, story battles, and side quests. You don't get goth, the game's currency, during training matches, even though they still give you experience points. This causes quite a problem because almost everything you need in the game costs money, including magic spells and crafting components.
If you play Tactics Ogre: Reborn fairly, you really need to consider what equipment you will buy and how you will use items on the battlefield so as not to go broke too fast. However, there is a simple way to give yourself infinite goth and erase any money problems. Follow the simple steps below, and you will be Scrooge McDuck diving into a pile of money in no time.
When Can You Start Farming Gold?
Exploiting this trick requires you to unlock crafting. This is not an option until you beat Chapter 1, which ends in the game's first big, shocking decision that changes the course of the plot.
Once you unlock crafting, you then have to buy the recipes from the shop. Depending on your skill level, it takes anywhere from five to eight hours to reach this point. Until then, you will have to make do with what the game gives you, but this first chapter isn't too difficult, so you shouldn't have a lot of trouble beating it.
How To Exploit Crafting For Infinite Gold
Crafting is streamlined in this remaster. Unlike the luck-based system in the original game, it is successful every time, and you can automatically buy components for crafting before you create a new item. Many weapons sell for more goth than they cost to craft, so all you have to do is use your current goth to craft as many of that item as allowed, and then sell them for profits at the same store.
Then, repeat the process as many times as necessary. In the pictures, we used the Petridart Blowgun, but this trick works with many different weapons.
Why Having Infinite Gold Is Important
Not having to worry about money puts you at a distinct advantage in battle. Not only can you always buy the most up-to-date equipment, but you also can keep an endless supply of healing items in your inventory. When you progress far enough into the game, Mending Essence fully replenishes your HP without costing any MP whereas most healing magic does not even come close to fully restoring health.
The other advantage is items can be used by any class, so now every unit has the ability to fully restore a party member's HP or revive them with a Blessing Stone. This is absolutely invaluable during later battles.
