Tfue has discovered a handy trick Fortnite players can utilize while rebooting teammates, but we're not sure whether it's a cool discovery or a mistake that needs patching.

Earlier this year, it felt as if Fortnite's seemingly untouchable spot atop the battle royal world was about to be threatened. Apex Legends arrived on the scene and gave players a viable alternative to Epic's dominant gaming giant. However, here we are a number of months later and while Apex is still alive and kicking, it no longer seems as if it stands a chance of dethroning Fortnite.

Epic must have been at least a little worried though, otherwise, it wouldn't have added a couple of Apex's celebrated features to Fortnite. It quickly added the much-lauded ping system introduced via Apex, and a little later, Fortnite adopted its rival's respawn system. The ability for players to bring their teammates back to life should they survive long enough to get to a Reboot Van.

Those of you who have used a Reboot Van will know it comes with its risks, as it should. You are left out in the open when rebooting a teammate, and once you do so, the van's alarm and lights will alert nearby players. Building a structure around the van is the obvious way to stave off opponents, but streamer Tfue might have found an even more novel way of staying safe.

While playing with his Duos partner cloak, Tfue demonstrated a rebooting method we had never seen before. The streamer constructed a wooden pyramid (or roof) over himself and was still able to use the van. This was odd, as he managed to do so through a structure, which shouldn't be possible. This now begs the question, is this a broken mechanic that needs fixing or a handy trick we just hadn't happened upon until now?

There are two ways in which we are going to find out the answer for sure. Epic might get wind of the clip and let us know one way or the other. Either that, or it will patch it without saying a thing. It might well have done that already. The only way to know is to jump on Fortnite and try this method out for yourself.
