9 Gaby's Treasure Hunt
Perceived as hostile at first, you'll eventually discover Gaby's a very friendly person with something important to give you in exchange for completing her quest. Tchia is a game about island exploration, and what archipelago setting would feel complete without the addition of some buried treasure?
As soon as you're done handing over what she wants, Gaby will give you a key and a map of all the treasure you can potentially find during your playthrough of the game.
8 Races
As if running against the clock to eventually save folks from your tribe isn't upping the ante enough, this video game also lets you boat race. With so many stunning tracks that feature beautiful landscapes and ocean shots, it's worth partaking in a race or two.
Try nabbing a gold trophy for yourself as you work your way through all the areas on the map. This mini-game helps take the edge off of the main over-arching narrative of stopping the bad guys.
7 Cooking With Louise
In a bizarre twist, after you finish your quest to help Gaby, you get invited to help Louise cook dinner for everyone. As barebones and basic as this sequence feels, it's still somewhat heart-warming and endearing watching both girls work together to make something for others.
The main goal is to make some delicious burritos, and your job is to wrap and fold them into shape. The task itself is fairly easy but rather too brief for you actually to enjoy doing it.
6 Shooting Range Challenge
One of the first things you learn to do in Tchia is how to use your very own personal slingshot to wreak havoc. It starts you off by shooting down a coconut for no apparent reason, and eventually, you'll find yourself aiming at a target at one of five shooting ranges.
As complex as that sounds, the mini-game's fairly easy to play. Trying to get a good score on your first crack at it is not that hard.
5 Soul Melodies
This is what you'd consider the bread and butter of this game, a sequence of events that trigger a fun yet challenging mini-game that features tight inputs and flamboyant performances from you since you're a pro ukulele player scouring the lands.
These melodies are catchy and endearing since they help you form and build a connection with the inhabitants of an area. Albeit a bit confusing initially, it's very satisfying to nail each segment and deliver a stellar performance.
4 Diving
If you're too preoccupied with collecting rather than taking your time and digesting everything around you, then you just might miss one of the most fun things Tchia will experience in this video game.
Getting to climb up to a board and making a satisfying dive is way more fun than it needed to be in this game. You get rewarded with a gold trophy for your efforts if you land a dive that's impressive enough to win you the points required.
3 Photo Snapping
Although you won't get your hands on a camera unless you're about an hour into the game, Tchia has a fun photo-snapping mini-game-like sequence that's also important to the plot.
It's interesting getting to see the HUD designed for the camera in-game, and not only that, but you also have to take into consideration how and which angle you're about to take a shot from. It really helps you feel immersed and somewhat invested in the game.
2 Zen Rock Balancing
Tchia offers you the chance to partake in and enjoy the ancient tradition of balancing rocks atop one another just because it looks kinda cool. This is a challenge you can attempt at five separate locations.
It won't take much effort for you to get the gold trophy, however, it does feel very satisfying stacking them up as high as they let you. This mini-game will help you immerse yourself, it'll take away that feeling of being burnt out from exploring.
1 Sculpting Wooden Totems
Not only is this mini-game fun, but also advantageous to you as a player. Crafting totems can actually help you get access to a sacred Totem Shrine. Once you enter and go through the challenges you're meant to face, you'll eventually find a Soul Fruit.
Although rare, these fruits are worth the effort of going through the mini-game itself since they give your Soul Meter a permanent buff. That means you can use your powers for a longer duration of time.
