Team Liquid has officially signed a competitive VALORANT roster, the premier esports organization revealed today. The team is made up of the former fish123 squad, which made a name as one of the best VALORANT teams in Europe during the game’s beta. The lineup is rounded out by ex-CS:GO star Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom.

Making up the core of Team Liquid’s VALORANT roster is the former fish123 squad, a team that quickly rose up the competitive ranks during the game’s closed beta. The British team became known as one of the best in Europe, winning the Mandatory Cup, Solary Cup, and three straight Take The Throne tournaments. The team, along with stand-in Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, most recently placed second behind G2 Esports in the WePlay! Invitational, a VALORANT Ignition Series event.

The fish123 roster is made up of Adam “ec1s” Eccles, Dom “soulcas” Sulcas, James “Kryptix” Affleck, and Travis “L1NK” Mendoza. All four players previously competed in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, as did ScreaM, the team’s fifth member.

In joining Team Liquid’s VALORANT lineup, Belgian star Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom has officially retired from competitive CS:GO. The 26-year-old began his Counter-Strike career in Source before moving onto Global Offensive. ScreaM competed with some of the best French and European teams in CS:GO, including VeryGames, Titan, Kinguin, and G2 Esports.

As a star player, ScreaM found high placings at many events with a variety of teams. ScreaM took home trophies at the StarSeries VII Finals, the DreamHack Stockholm Invitational, and the ECS Season 1 Finals. He competed in eight CS:GO Majors throughout his career, reaching the semi-finals of DreamHack Winter 2013 with VeryGames, and the quarter-finals of ESL One Cologne 2015 with Kinguin.

ScreaM now moves on to professional VALORANT, rounding out Team Liquid’s competitive roster. The former CS star has played alongside the fish123 lineup since June, the team placing second in both Take The Throne #6 and the WePlay! Invitational since his addition. The squad also placed 5-8th in Epulze VALORANT Prodigies.

The roster joins Team Liquid alongside their coach, former CS:GO observer Connor “Sliggy” Blomfield. Sliggy has coached fish123 since their inception, leading them to multiple tournament victories.

Team Liquid is next scheduled to compete in the Allied Esports Odyssey, another Ignition Series event.
