Since there has been a Pokémon animated series, there has always been a Team Rocket in one form or another. Sure, the brand has changed throughout the years, but the mission of each organization has remained the same: to take over the world. We were introduced to Team Rocket spinoffs like Team Magma and Team Aqua later in the series. Confused already? Try to picture Team Rocket as the snobs of Pokémon's crime world.
The following cosplay outfits were created by dedicated people who want to express themselves in different ways. For some, it's a fashion statement, and for others, it is a way to show their adoration of Pokémon. Don't doubt them until you see them. Here are 10 Team Rocket cosplays that are blasting off again!
10 WWE Professional Wrestlers Zelina Vega And Andrade Almas
Currently, both of these wrestlers are signed to WWE, but they have a life outside of professional wrestling. Dressing up in Pokémon cosplay is not the first thing you'd expect from wrestlers, but it seems to work anyway. Zelina Vega and Andrade Almas are not married, but they are ring-partners and good friends.
This isn't the first time we've seen Zelina express her adoration of cosplay. She also wore outfits for the Catwoman and Jade from Mortal Kombat. A link to Zelina Vega's original Instagram post can be viewed here.
9 Jessie And James: Romantic Lovers Or Partners In Crime?
The amount of realism behind these outfits makes them two of the top cosplays. Differing from the anime and manga, Jessie and James are both holding roses when usually only James holds a rose. Despite one significant flaw, these cosplay artists rock two of the most excellent outfits in this list. Small details, including Jessie's red earrings, were put into this beautiful demonstration of cosplay. Even the hair color is impeccably accurate. YouTube user RRartgroup did an excellent job with their outfits. It goes without saying that these cosplays are blasting off again!
8 "To Denounce The Evils Of Truth And Love"
Sure, Jessie doesn't have tattoos, but this cosplay is so accurate that it doesn't really matter. Red and blue hair, boy and girl, there are many contrasting aspects of Jessie and James, which is why they fit so well together as a team.
Team Rocket's motto is "Prepare for trouble, and make it double, To protect the world from devastation, To unite all people within our nation, To denounce the evil of truth and love, To extend our reach to the stars above." They rarely accomplish their goals, but we love them regardless. Thanks, sailorbeeee & angelicdazecosplay for this splendid Team Rocket cosplay.
7 Gotta Snatch 'Em All
If Jessie and James had spent more time trying to catch Pokémon instead of attempting to steal them, they probably would have been more successful and a better asset for their boss. Time and time again, Team Rocket tries to steal Ash's Pikachu and any other Pokémon they can get their hands on. There is an abundance of desirable Pokémon in the world of Pokémon, so it is nonsensical for Jessie and James to resort to stealing. Their motto should be "gotta snatch 'em all" not "gotta catch 'em all." Thanks, articles.gamerheadquarters.com author Jason Stettner for providing these photos.
6 Is That A Real Rose?
The fact that the rose looks dilapidated makes us think that the rose could be real. Most other people who pose as Jessie and James purchase a fake rose from the store. James holds a rose because deep down, he is a romantic at heart.
The Mewoth plush toy was a nice addition to this cosplay picture. It shows that they want to go above and beyond instead of merely wearing the outfits. Lucy5chan deserves credit for this awesome Team Rocket cosplay photograph.
5 Jessie And James, The Dynamic Duo
Sure, the "R" symbol on the outfit doesn't look as good as some of the other costumes on this list, but at least these cosplayers managed to get their hands on a rose and Poké Ball. Also, the wigs capture the hairstyles of Team Rocket better than most other people who decided to dye their hair red and ignore the hairstyle completely. This Team Rocket duo looks awesome as Jessie and James, and we can't get enough of this zany Team Rocket cosplay. Great job Samurai Josh for providing this Team Rocket cosplay!
4 Officer Jenny Is On The Scene To Stop Team Rocket
Officer Jenny is a standup citizen who only cares about the safety of the public. This shot shows precisely what the people want to see; Team Rocket stopped before they cause any more trouble.
We can only be thankful that Officer Jenny arrived on the scene since there's no telling what trouble Team Rocket could have done. Thanks, Reddit user TRexBytes for uploading this photo of Ryuu Lavitz & RachniQueen as punk Team Rocket.
3 Team Rocket Grunts And Giovanni
This is the last group that people would want to encounter in a dark alley. Okay, so maybe they put on a hardcore attitude because of the camera. It doesn't mean that they are evil people. Team Rocket cosplay isn't about doing evil deeds, it's about appearing as evil as possible. There is a small difference between the two, but one doesn't involve breaking the law. Immersing yourself in a role and knowing that you're always going to make mistakes is a fundamental of good cosplay. Thanks, Chris Brailsford for uploading this Team Rocket photo.
2 Tale Of The Creepy Team Rocket Cosplay
Team Rocket is the Pokémon world's most ruthless organization. This Team Rocket duo got it right by deciding to dress up as creepy as possible. Whenever a Pokémon outfit goes above and beyond with smart designs, the result is sublime. Most likely, this cosplay was done as part of a Halloween dress-up party. The Halloween giveaway is, of course, the creepy makeup and vacant stares put on by these cosplay enthusiasts. The white gloves are also a nice addition to the outfit. Great job aminoapps.com user StrangeBat for the above photo.
1 Classic Orange Outfit Giovanni And Jessie
James is mysteriously missing from this photograph, but at least someone made the right choice by deciding to dress up as Giovanni in his classic orange outfit. When Giovanni wears it, it looks gaudy, but the person in this photo was rocking the orange suit all the way. To get a three-piece suit like Giovanni's must have been expensive, plus the Persian Pokémon in his arm is a nice touch. They belong in this list, and there isn't much more that can be done to improve their cosplay. Thanks, DeviantArt user TR-Kurt for uploading this cosplay.
