The Terminator might have just been confirmed as the next DLC character to arrive on Mortal Kombat 11’s roster.

Last April, rumors began to swirl that The Terminator would be coming to Mortal Kombat 11 as a DLC character. Then the Kombat Pack was announced with two mystery characters, and we thought for sure we knew who at least one of them was.

Now it seems like that previous rumor may have just been confirmed thanks to a leak on Google.

Late last Saturday, if you typed "Mortal Kombat Terminator game" into Google, you’d get a search list that starts with an ad from the official Mortal Kombat 11 website that says “New Character Terminator.” If you clicked the ad (which is the kind that companies pay for in order to be the top search result for a period of time) then it just took you to the Mortal Kombat 11 website with no mention of the Terminator.

This seems to indicate that an MK11 Google ad accidentally went live before the big reveal and all but confirms the existence of a Terminator DLC. Nobody pays for a Google ad without actually having something to advertise.

With Terminator crossovers coming for Gears of War 5 and Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, and a new Terminator movie coming this November, it seems like game tie-ins are here to generate some brand recognition.

The only question remaining is just who will be the final DLC character mentioned in the Kombat Pack trailer. Twisted Metal’s Sweet Tooth was recently debunked as wishful thinking, but Ash Williams of Evil Dead fame is still a possibility (even though Bruce Campbell, the actor who plays Ash, seemed to flip flop on his inclusion as a DLC character).

Ash was mentioned in the April rumors to be another character, and since the previous rumor has been right so far, we’re definitely not going to dismiss it now.

There’s also one more possibility that seems pretty strong at the moment, and that’s id Software’s Doomguy. You can check out the article here for our explanation on why this iconic character might be coming to Mortal Kombat 11.
