He always said he'd be back. Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed that he will make an appearance at this year's San Diego Comic-Con - and he won't be alone.

On July 18, in Hall H, Terminator: Dark Fate will begin its star-studded presentation at 11 AM PST. As The Hollywood Reporter notes, this will put it ahead of all other Hall H presenters at the convention.

The Dark Fate presentation promises to show off new footage from James Cameron's upcoming sequel, which hits theaters November 1st. In all likelihood, as sister site Screenrant points out, this footage probably won't be a new trailer. The debut trailer was introduced to the world just over a month ago, giving audiences their first look at the long-awaited return of Sarah Connor.

Speaking of the Mother of the Resistance, Linda Hamilton will be making an appearance alongside Schwarzenegger at Dark Fate's SDCC showing. They'll be joined by director Tim Miller, along with franchise newcomers Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, Mackenzie Davis, and Diego Bonita. Dark Fate marks the first time since 1991 that Hamilton will be involved in the franchise. Previously, Sarah Connor was killed off-screen in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, then recast in 2015's ill-received Terminator Genisys. Dark Fate will serve as a retconning of those films, and act as a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

Dark Fate's SDCC panel will be just the beginning of the upcoming film's promotional blitz. As previously revealed at E3, Paramount is going all-out when it comes to cross promotions. Players will be able to take control of both a T-800 and Sarah Connor herself in the upcoming Gears of War 5, something that preorder holders and Xbox Game Pass subscribers alike can take advantage of. On top of that, Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint will feature a Terminator crossover of some sort, the details of which are scarce at this point.

There are also the persistent rumors that Schwarzenegger's T-800 will make an appearance in the smash-hit Mortal Kombat 11, as per leaks that date back several months at this point. While this hasn't been officially confirmed yet, it seems all but inevitable. Perhaps the SDCC panel could be where we find out more.

Even without that news, however, the Terminator: Dark Fate panel already promises to be a great event for fans. Early audiences have fallen in love with the snips of footage debuted at Cinema-Con, and the chance to get another look at the film isn't one to pass up.
