Ever built something so good using Lego, that you thought it deserved its own official set? That's exactly what the concept of Lego Ideas is built on. Fans can build whatever they can dream of using Lego, and after their submission surpasses 10,000 votes on the site, it gets considered to become an official set.

Most submissions are based on landmarks or pop-culture, so TV, movie, and video game themed entries are pretty common. However, it's doubtful that there would be too many entries based on Terraria. But that didn't stop JaoGosma from cobbling up a 1,970 piece set based on the popular game (thanks, PCGamesN).

"It has a house with two floors and a basement, a small pond and a small cave. Inside the cave are two small bodies of water, a couple of pots, ore veins and a Life Crystal," said JaoGosma in the description of the set. "I built it because I figured it would be a fun project, and because the recently released Sonic set inspired me to make something based on other games, and Terraria seemed like a perfect fit for a [Lego] model. I think this concept would make for a great display for fans of Terraria, as well as a conversation starter for people who aren't familiar with the game.

The set is quite impressive, and expectedly large, as it starts all the way from the surface, and includes an excavated tunnel all the way to the lower water table. They submitted the entry on January 28 of this year, and reached the goal of 10,000 in just over five months. It's noteworthy that the entry received over 100 votes on the day it was submitted itself. In March, it reached 1,500 votes, which the creator celebrated by adding a bunny to the set.

Now that it has received 10,000 votes, JaoGosma's Terraria set will be reviewed by a panel of experts, who will decide if the set is worthy of an official launch.

While this set gives us an idea of what Terraria would physically look like in 3D, a fan has given us the opportunity to soon play the game in 3D.
