Sonic Frontiers Might be Coming Next November
You've got to love Sonic the Hedgehog rumors right? According to @PlayStationSize on Twitter, the PlayStation Database has Sonic Frontiers listed with a November 15, 2022 release date. Now, its possible this is just a placeholder date since Sega has not officially confirmed the release date for the first open world (or open zone) Sonic game. The first trailer appeared at The Game Awards earlier this month and did confirm that the game is coming in 2022, so fingers crossed that November 15 is the official date.
New Batman Trailer Reveals How Bruce Wayne Is More Of A Cat Person
Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for next year's Batman movie seemingly out of nowhere. Titled "The Bat and the Cat", the trailer is all about the romantic relationship between Batman and Catwoman, aka Selina Kyle. The trailer also highlights Paul Dano's villain Edward Nashton, better known as The Riddler. You can get a better look at Batman and Catwoman's costumes in the latest issue of Empire Magazine.
Tom Holland Shills For New NFT Project With Justin Bieber
Another week, another celebrity repping some new scam NFT. This time we've got Spider-Man star Tom Holland sharing a Spidey-inspired NFT from the recently minted "inBetweeners" series on Instragram, with the caption "I love this". The NFTs were created by an artist named Gianpiero who has previously worked with celebrities like Snoop Dogg, Levis, and Justin Bieber. Like most NFT projects, inBetweeners are all the same teddy bear in different costumes, including Batman, Spider-Man, and Dexter from Dexter's Lab. Something tells me Warner Bros. and Disney might not be on board with the project.
Twitch Chat Beats Pokemon Crystal In Only 36 Hours
Twitch streamer Chris signed off for the holidays last week, but before going he converted his channel into a Pokemon Crystal stream that viewers could play cooperatively by entering commands in the chat log. The first ever Twitch Plays Pokemon took place back in February 2014 when viewers managed to finish the game in 16 days. The series has continued with Crystal, which was finished in just 13 days. Different version of Crystal have been played on the official Twitch Plays Pokemon channel over the years, but none have been completed this quickly before. Chris's chat was able to complete Pokemon Crystal in just 36 hours, making this the fastest completion on the game yet.
Final Fantasy 16 Development Delayed By "Almost A Half Year" Due To Covid-19
Finally, we've got a small update for the upcoming Final Fantasy 16. Producer Naoki Yoshida shared a note on the official FFXVI Twitter account explaining that, unfortunately, there won't be any updates until spring 2022. The post explains that the pandemic caused significant delays to development and prevented the studio from revealing this year as they had initially planned.
