Final Fantasy 14 Finally Fixes Housing Lottery Issues
Final Fantasy 14 players have been putting up with a lot lately, but the biggest controversy has been the completely broken housing system. The upshot was that basically nobody was able to acquire a piece of property in the game. This now appears to have been fixed. Game Director Naoki Yoshida said that "we will be conducting maintenance to restore lottery results data on Monday, May 16. This maintenance will fix identified errors and properly relay lottery results for affected plots to the appropriate servers." The developer went on to say that once the maintenance is complete, “winning lottery numbers will be displayed correctly and land purchases may be finalized accordingly."
Deathloop Gets A Photo Mode And More Accessibility Options
Deathloop shipped without a photo mode, but this little oversight has now been made right. I can tell you from experience that it’s a very good photo mode. I’ve actually been posting screenshots from the game on Twitter for several months now. Producer at Arkane Jeremy Leuliet clearly feels the same way. “This photo mode is such a great way to allow our players to get creative by using the unique art and levels of Deathloop,” Leuliet remarked. “The only creative limitations are defined by our players’ imaginations. We’re very excited at Arkane to see how deep the players will dig into all of the different options and what they will come up with.” The game also got some new accessibility options.
Gears Of War Might Get A 'Master Chief Collection Treatment' According To Insider
First up was Halo. Next is apparently going to be Gears of War. According to Nick Baker of XboxEra who claims to have some inside knowledge on the matter, Gears of War is going to be the next in line to receive the Master Chief Collection treatment. “A while back, I said there is another Microsoft franchise that’s getting the Master Chief Collection-type treatment,” Baker noted. “I am of the belief that that is coming this year.” Baker went on to say that "if you go from November, 2021 to November, 2022 and you look at Microsoft’s big game output, it could wind up being Halo, Gears, Forza." Since the Forza franchise wouldn’t make much sense, the only reasonable conclusion is Gear of War.
Halo Infinite Update Brings Back The "Tank Gun"
The developer behind Halo Infinite, 343 Industries, upset a lot of speedrunners by removing the infamous “tank gun” from the game. The company however seems to have reversed that decision. The news comes from Senior Community Manager at 343 Industries John Junyszek who said the weapon will be finding its “way home above Outpost Tremonius” at some point in the near future. The developer previously warned the community about its removal from Halo Infinite. “Heads up for speedrunners and achievement hunters,” Junyszek said back in April. “The tank gun glitch in the campaign will be fixed in Season 2. Feel free to do what you like with this piece of information.”
Nintendo Reveals Two New Regions In Xenoblade Chronicles 3
We’re only a couple of months away from the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and its producer, Nintendo, has been dropping all sorts of information about the game. This time around we got to hear about two new regions, Milliwick Meadows and Eagus Wilderness. “A river flows through the vast grasslands of Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Millick Meadows,” the company noted. “The lush nature on display here sure looks inviting, but beware! The creatures (and even plants) who live here don’t take kindly to passers by.” When it comes to the second area, Nintendo said that “if you like sand in your shoes, then pay a visit to Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Eagus Wilderness. You may spot a familiar landmark while evading this desert’s sandstorms. Is that a… giant mechanical finger?”
