The Bradwell Conspiracy is set in the year 2026. Technology company Bradwell Electronics is holding a Summer Solstice event to celebrate the launch of their ‘Clean Water Initiative,’ which looks set to change the world. As the event gets underway, disaster strikes and the building is left in ruins. While the vast majority of the occupants are safely and successfully evacuated, you are left trapped inside.

As you come round and begin to explore the area, you come across Amber, who appears to be the only other person still inside the ruined shell. While you are just a gala guest, who cannot speak due to smoke inhalation, Amber is an employee and knows her way around.

Using Bradwell’s AR Smart Glasses you can communicate with each other using photos (and Amber's voice) as you attempt to not just escape but to work out the cause of the devastation and just what is really going on at Bradwell Electronics.

If you want to know what mysteries await, without playing through the game, then read on as we uncover the conspiracy and reveal a vast amount of spoilers.

The Bradwell Tragedy

Bradwell Electronics is owned by John Bradwell and currently headed up by his daughter Melissa. They are the only surviving members of their family after John’s wife Eliza, son Stephen, and other daughter Kate were killed by the ‘En Masse Movement’, a terrorist group of left-wing militants who wanted to eliminate the top 1% of earners.

While the Bradwell Electronics name is the family-friendly veneer of the company, there are some confidential secrets lurking in secret underground labs beneath the company’s headquarters. When Amber decides to make you an “employee” so you can acquire some extra privileges, these company secrets are revealed.

Bradwellium

The company's research and development department are focused on cutting edge technology which includes an element called Bradwellium, commonly known as substance. They have developed a handheld printer that can take certain items and break them down into substance before outputting it again as new items.

This technology allows the conversion of objects into new items, as long as a set of blueprints for the desired creation is contained on the printer.

This revolutionary technology is highly confidential and incredibly powerful but it turns out that the Bradwellium is also being used for some highly controversial projects.

Rumors And Reservations

As you begin to poke around different people's computers, helpfully using discarded glasses to gain access, you’ll uncover some strong rumors about the Summer Solstice event you likely wish you’d never attended.

A string of emails reveals that the maintenance crews had all been tasked with repairing tracks for the evacuation systems. Meanwhile, a select number of trusted security teams were also put onto high alert and warned of a possible evacuation.

While Melissa downplayed rumors of a terrorist attack, her wider staff pool began to suspect that she knew something big was about to happen, before the event took place.

Many of them were nervous and one even tried to escape, hoping to utilize the medical transport to get out of the building without authorization, as he told everyone that something terrible was about to happen.

A Code Adaptation

The company’s research focuses on the ‘Clean Water Initiative’ due to be launched in the near future. The premise is, using Bradwellium, Bradwell Electronics was producing patented algae cleaners. They cleaned up the water and outputted not just freshwater but also hydrogen, which could be used as a source of green energy.

This revolutionary idea sounds like an amazing and groundbreaking discovery, making clean water and sustainable power available to all.

However, one doctor had some concerns after she was asked to add some code into the algae pod blueprints. Others were concerned that the project was being rolled out first into urban areas, instead of into poorer places, where it would have a much greater impact.

The reasons for both of these decisions will soon become shockingly clear.

The NARAC Initiative

Alongside the philanthropic sounding ‘Clean Water Initiative’, it turns out that Bradwell has another project in place and this one is far more sinister.

The NARAC initiative involves putting small amounts of a chemical (known as Aequus) into subjects' drinks, which over time is then absorbed into their bodies. Once it takes effect it turns out the research and development team can use this for some decidedly terrifying purposes.

The substance itself transmits a kind of signal, which the affected participant is unaware of. This can be tapped into using cutting edge Bradwell tech. Once accessed it allows a viewer to see through the eyes of the person they are connected to.

Why NARAC?

We soon discover that the roots of this technology were slightly more honorable. It was developed with the hope that it could be used to track down the killers of John and Melissa’s family. John also hoped it could be used to prevent crimes from being committed before they happened.

In letters to his daughter, he pleads with her to stop the project, saying it’s “too powerful” and he “should have destroyed it when he had the chance.” He pleads with her, saying this is not what her mother would have wanted and begs her to reconsider. Unfortunately, Melissa doesn’t listen to reason.

A Set-Up

It seems Amber had already discovered some of these plans, and also that the only thing stopping them from happening was a lack of Bradwellium. When she got close to discovering how to produce it she got cold feet and hid her plans. She also began to try and discover how to stop Melissa in her tracks.

Unknown to Amber, Melissa then stepped in and set Amber up, planting false information into the system. This ended with Amber trying to trigger a failsafe that wasn’t safe, which led to the explosion.

Meanwhile, Melissa found another, seemingly unstable but effective, way to produce Bradwellium, allowing her to move forward with her plans to monetize the technology.

The Plan

Melissa’s plan all along was to use the explosion as a distraction while she rolled out her technology worldwide. Using the ‘clean water initiative’ algae pods to distribute the aequus to innocent civilians, she was planning on selling the spy technology to the highest bidder, compromising millions of people’s privacy in the process.

Thankfully she didn’t account for you and Amber, as you work together to destroy her source of Bradwellium, as well as her technology and stop her evil plans once and for all.
