The DioField Chronicle has a wide variety of systems and mechanics that enable you to strategically tackle missions and combat encounters, allowing you to get the most out of your units to claim victory. One of these systems is Magilumic Orbs, which acts as the game's Summons if you are familiar with the Final Fantasy series.
Magilumic Orbs are a party-wide resource that allows you to summon immensely powerful mystical beasts onto the field for a brief moment. There are five Magilumic Orbs in the game, all offering unique and valuable actions that can drastically help you get the upper hand in battle.
Magilumic Orbs Overview
As already mentioned, Magilumic Orbs are powerful Summons usable by all units in your party, allowing you to deal damage, restore HP and EP, and much more in a large area. Additionally, Megilumic Orbs require TP to use, which you will acquire by collecting Blue Jade Fragments scattered around the stage and by defeating enemies.
You can only have two of the five Magilumic Orbs equipped at a time. Some will require 1 TP to use, and some will need more, so keep that in mind when choosing your deadly duo of Magilumic Orbs. Furthermore, you can even upgrade each Magilumic Orb, but we will get into that a bit later on. First, let's go over every Magilumic Orb and how you can obtain them!

How To Upgrade Magilumic Orbs
Despite Magilumic Orbs being powerful right off the bat, you can further increase their capabilities as early as Chapter 2. Once you reach this Chapter, you will have to speak with Iscarion, then will be tasked to head over to the Institute to talk to the Researcher there, who will give you the basic rundown of how this works.
You will need lots of Gold and Jade Crystals to increase your Magilumic Orb levels and will also need to clear several sub-quests to raise your Magilumic Orb Research Rank. You can find the list of sub-quests below, along with the prerequisites required to access them. You will essentially need to reach Research Rank 2 to begin Engraving (upgrading) your Megailumic Orbs, then will need to obtain Rank 4 to unlock the rest of the Engraving options.
