The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey has revealed that one of the things they're most excited to see in the future is the love story between Dina and Ellie from The Last of Us Part 2.

We may have only just reached the halfway point of HBO's The Last of Us, but that isn't stopping everyone from looking ahead to the future, especially with the recent confirmation from HBO of a second season. That applies to the show's cast too, as Bella Ramsey has recently talked about some of the things they're excited to see in the future.

As reported by Digital Spy, Ramsey appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast to talk about the first three episodes of the show. Ramsey is also asked about the show already being renewed for a second season, and proceeds to talk about some of the things coming up from Part 2 that they want to see, most notably the relationship between Ellie and Dina.

Ramsey said, "I’m really excited, to be honest, for the Ellie/Dina story. I’ve watched a cut together, someone's made a phenomenal – I don’t know how they do it – like an amazing edit of just the gameplay, like Ellie and Dina’s love story. So I'm excited to play that out."

Ramsey also revealed that they're excited about how Dina and Ellie's relationship is going to change her relationship with Joel as it gets "decidedly more complex". As excited as they seem for most of the experience, Ramsey also admitted to being nervous about how violent Part 2 gets, which makes sense considering how the show has cut back on that so far and how intrinsic it is to the sequel's core themes.

Considering we haven't even got to the end of the show's first season yet, it's going to be some time until we see the second part play out, especially when considering the five-year time gap between the two stories. However, Ramsey's comments do seem to imply that they're expecting to continue playing Ellie for the second season and that another actor won't take up the role to try and make the character seem older.
