One of The Last of Us Part II's features allows players to unwind and take a break from post-apocalyptic events by giving them the option to play Ellie's guitar in the form of a mini game. For those who know how to play the guitar or know how to read musical notes, they can create their very own songs, or use the mini game as an opportunity to try and learn the instrument. For the most part, it seems that players are having too much fun with the guitar, going as far as covering popular songs.

Over on social media platforms like Reddit, YouTube, and Twitter, The Last of Us Part II fans are posting covers of their favorite songs, as well as songs that are famous for their guitar solos or intros. Although there have been a lot of covers posted over the last few days since the game launched, it is still impressive to see what players came up with and how they used the PS4 controller to play the songs accurately.

Needless to say, playing an actual guitar and a guitar through a controller are two different things. The way Ellie's guitar works in The Last of Us Part II is with the PS4 controller's touchpad functioning as strummers/strings and with the chords/notes being accessed through buttons on a radial wheel. As a result, it's safe to say that getting used to the controller might take some time at first, especially if a player wishes to perform one of the more complicated songs. Nonetheless, it's still cool to have such a feature in The Last of Us Part II.

For fans who became inspired by the guitar mini game and would like to start playing on an actual guitar, there is currently a The Last of Us Part II-themed guitar by Taylor Guitars for $2,300. Additionally, there are cheaper options that might fit different budgets while still delivering the same experience as in the main game. With so many different options and possibilities at a player's disposal, it's only a matter of time before they start playing a guitar themselves, even if it's just the one in the game.
