For some reason, people have been torturing Koroks in Tears of the Kingdom. Those cute little leaf things that ask you to find their friends. I don't know why some people's instinct is to crucify them and stick them on a barbeque, but it is. Luckily, though, they've caught a break today since people have pivoted to ruining the life of Addison, the sign guy.

Like Koroks, his encounters are pretty wholesome. Why you'd opt to crush his spirit and plunge him into misery is beyond me, but that's exactly what GrassWaterDirtHorse did (thanks, VideoGamer). Throughout TotK, you'll find him trying to put up signs depicting President Hudson near construction kits, but he can't get them to stay upright. That's where we come in, building elaborate scaffolds to ensure that he has time to nail the sign down.

You can also stick a boulder underneath, but that's no fun. Less fun is what GrassWaterDirtHorse did. They wedged a rocket-powered wooden construct into the sign so that when Addison lets go, it flies off into space. Not only does the sign 'fall over', but it disappears entirely. I felt bad enough failing him three times in a row, let alone ripping the sign out of his reach.

"Whoa! Unforgivable!"

Not everyone willingly tortured Addison, though. Some just did it by accident. I nearly walked right past him when he kept dropping the sign, thinking it was some weird random encounter and nothing more since it wasn't accompanied by a side quest. It wasn't until I circled back and saw him still struggling that I wondered if helping him would work, so I built a box to hold the sign up and lo and behold, he rewarded me. Others just trotted past over and over and over.

"I've watched the guy drop President Hudson on the ground like 50 times while exploring," Weavel posted. "I thought I might get an item for finding and seeing his sign fall around the map, now I realise I've been walking away like 'damn good luck with that bro' instead".

As one commenter points out, "That's one thing I love about this game. It rewards you for being a good person." Emphasis on 'good'. Not torturing Koroks or hurtling this guy's sign into the void - being helpful. But if you really want to ruin his day, now you know how. Rockets and wooden planks.
