Aside from their usual rewards, some shrines double as fast-travel points for key locations and towns. Gemimik Shrine is one such example that will give you an excellent fast-travel point to explore the eastern coast of the map. Whatever your reason, the Gemimik Shrine is worth the visit.

Where is Gemimik Shrine?

  • Coordinates: 4513, 2116, 0001

The Gemimik Shrine is located on the far eastern side of Hyrule in the Akkala Highlands.

This location is also tied into the Tears of The Dragon quest, so completing the shrine ahead of time will allow you to fast travel there instantly when required.

You can launch yourself from the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower and glide to the southeast to get to this shrine.

The Upland Zorana Skyview Tower is the next closest but will require a long journey heading northeast from it.

Gemimik Shrine Solution

Enter the shrine and prepare to get rolling on turbine magic, as this shrine requires you to assemble and use a fan to complete it.

Head down the stairs and take note of the giant rotary device in the center of the room, surrounded by unlit torches.

These torches are your main objective, but it will take a few steps to light them all before the fire extinguisher system kicks in.

You can try to light them all without doing the puzzle, but don't waste your time; the timing isn't possible by normal means.

First, grab the turbine propeller from the right side of the room and attach it to the center rotary.

Once attached, note an unconnected wire on the left side of the room.

Grab the conductor plate near the left wall and connect the power source to the fan's power line running along the floor from the center.

Link puts a plate on the conductor wires in Gemimik Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Once that is finished, the middle fan will start rapidly spinning, creating an upward draft you can use to navigate the room.

Jump off the raised platform and float using the fan's draft.

In the corner of the room, you will see a platform with one active flame emitter, and two turned off; land on this platform.

Turn off the active flame emitter or grab the inactive ones and toss at least one down to the ground below.

You can grab all three, but will only need one emitter to complete the puzzle.

Once that's done, look across the gap to spot another platform tucked away in a corner.

Float through the middle of the room and land on the opposite platform that has a Zonai Chest sitting on it.

Link glides to the Gemimik Shrine Reward in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Open the chest to receive a Mighty Zonaite Shield, one of the most defensive shields you can find.

Once you have your new shield, jump down to the bottom of the room to begin the puzzle-solving.

First, remove the electrical plate temporarily to stop the fan from rotating.

Next, attach the flame emitter to the center of the fan facing outwards so that the fire can spray in a circle as it turns.

Link prepares the turbine in the Gemimik Shrine Solution in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Activate the flame emitter while it is on top of the fan.

Then, replace the conductor plate so that the fan begins spinning once more.

Look over at the spinning flame emitter and watch as it sprays a wheel of fire that lights all the pillars at once, completing the puzzle.

Exit through the gate and claim your rewards.
