In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you are back in a familiar Hyrule. As such, you will come across many of the same landmarks, NPCs, and villages such as Lurelin. Lurelin Village is a small little town located in the southwestern portion of the map. This oceanfront town will be experiencing some bad luck when you first encounter it.

Lurelin Village has been plagued by pirates! Thankfully, you will be able to clear out the pirates and help rebuild the town. This, of course, is not enough. After restoring the town, you will be able to accept the quest Lurelin Resort Project, which improves upon the existing town.

Quest Prerequisites

Prior to accepting Lurelin Resort Project, you will need to clear out the pirates inhabiting Lurelin Village. This is part of the quest called Ruffian-Infested Village. There will be a lot of monsters in Lurelin; we suggest stocking up on arrows and various projectiles that you can attach, such as bombs. From a distance, you should be able to clear out the monsters from a safe spot.

Once Ruffian-Infested Village has been completed, you will need to then complete the Lurelin Village Restoration Project to rebuild the structures. Speak with Bolson on the main beach, and he will ask you to bring him 15 logs, as well as 20 Hylian Rice.

Logs can be found along the path leading out of the village, and rice can be purchased from vendors. If you don't have enough money, you can also cut down grass, which has a chance to yield Hylian Rice.

After giving Bolson these resources to Bolson, he will then go over the buildings in Lurelin Village that need to be repaired. This is a quick section that doesn't require any additional materials; all you need to do is listen to Bolson's instructions.

Finally, you are able to start the Lurelin Resort Project!

Starting The Lurelin Resort Project

Now, it's time to accept the Lurelin Resort Project quest. From the main path, head south of the village, sticking to the left side of the little lagoon that it sits on. You will be about a third of the way to the Korne Beach location marker on the map.

Here, you will find Rozel and Bolson. Talking to them, Bolson will mention a new entertainment facility that he wants to build, which hosts rally races on the water. Unfortunately, they don't have any racers, which is where you come in.

Through this conversation, you will learn that there are racing professionals near Tarrey Town, which is your next destination.

Visiting The Hudson Construction Site

The racing professionals in question are two Gerudo who can be found at the Hudson Construction Site. This is a large and flat area found directly to the west of the Tarrey Town island. If you happen to be in Tarrey Town, you can simply glide over, or take the mine cart track that looks like a little rollercoaster.

When you talk to Tali and Shabonne, they won't agree to head to Lurelin Village right away. You will instead need to complete a few quests.

Master The Vehicle Prototype

The first side quest that you need to complete is Master The Vehicle Prototype. Thankfully, this quest is very straightforward; all you need to do is give Fernison a Steering Stick. This is a Zonai device that can be obtained from Zonai Dispensers.

North of the Great Hyrule Forest, you will find the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower. In the sky above this tower, there is a cross-shaped chunk of land that holds Mayam Shrine, as well as a Zonai Dispenser that produces Steering Sticks.

Using your Ultrahand, place the Steering Stick on the pre-assembled vehicle and you are good to go! Fernison will ask you to give it a test drive, and then the quest will complete. From here, you just need to complete one more side quest.

The Tarrey Town Race Is On!

Before Tali and Shabonne head to Lurelin Village, you will need to prove your racing prowess on land. Speak to Fernison once more to receive The Tarrey Town Race Is On!, which will task you with completing a more difficult version of the course.

For this race, you will get to make your own vehicle. Near the building where Fernison stands with the two Gerudo, you will see various vehicle parts. The time limit for this race is two full minutes, giving you plenty of time to complete it.

As for your vehicle, we suggest using the stone platform with wheels attached, as well as a fan or two on the back. This will create a slower vehicle, but it can still complete the course. If you are aiming for speed, you can also simply attach a fan to a cart.

When your vehicle is ready, place Fernison's Steering Stick on it, and you are ready to go. Complete the race in under two minutes, and the side quest will be complete.

Inviting Tali & Shabonne To Lurelin Village

It's finally the moment you've been waiting for. Speak with Tali and Shabonne, who will eventually make their way to Lurelin Village.

From here, you just need to head back to the village as well, where you can find everyone at Korne Beach.

Completing The Lurelin Resort Project

Rozel, Bolson, Tali, and Shabonne will be gathered at the tip of Korne Beach. This location will be marked on your map, making it easy to find the group.

After a short conversation with Rozel, the Lurelin Water Rally building will appear, and the quest will be complete! As a reward, you will be able to use the course for free whenever you want. The course works similarly to the land version found near Tarrey Town. In the starting area, you can find all the supplies needed to build your water vehicle.
