The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom brings us back into the world of Hyrule with its vast array of challenging shrine puzzles to sate our curiosity. Shrines are an essential part of progression and should not wait until after you finish the main quest. In fact, it would be quite an impressive feat to complete the game while ignoring shrines.

Every four shrine completions awards a heart or stamina wheel upgrade, so they are well worth your time and effort. Some shrines can be difficult to find, like this one, but it's definitely worth seeking out to gain its fast travel point.

Where Is Mayasuiy Shrine?

The Mayasuiy Shrine is located in the Tabantha region of the map, just northeast of the Tabantha Snowfield.

It is located within the Forgotten Temple, which is an area you will need to visit once you embark on Impa's Tears of the Dragon questline.

Even if you aren't in the midst of Impa's quest, you will eventually need to go to the Mayausiy Shrine location to progress it.

You'll need to skirt along the southern edge of the canyon and jump off to reach the flat landing area: this is the Forgotten Temple.

Jump off again while staring southward and turn around 180 degrees as you paraglide down to enter the large opening in the wall – the Temple interior.

Progress forward through the linear path until you reach the Mayasuiy Shrine.

Room One Solution

Once you enter the Mayasuiy Shrine, the "Building Blocks" text should clue you in that this shrine is all about rearranging blocks into the proper pattern.

Approach the open area in the first room to see two blocks in front of you: one completed model on the left and your canvas on the right.

You must match the appearance of the model to the incomplete version on the right in order to open the door and progress to the second room.

This first room should be simple enough: you must rotate the two L-shaped blocks to fit together into the square. Keep the pieces straight and rotate them carefully before dropping each into place.

Once you complete this section, run through the door, but be careful of the Construct in the next hall wielding a flamethrower.

Hide behind the wall to stay out of sight, then either rush it or stun it with an arrow to quickly dispatch this foe.

Go up the stairs into the second and final room.

Room Two Solution

The second room is a slight step up in difficulty, but shouldn't prove too challenging.

As you enter the room, take note of the raised platform with a chest in the right-hand corner.

In order to reach this chest, you must build a stairway using the three block patterns.

Use the corner-shaped piece made up of four blocks as your base for the stairs, then stack the other pieces, climb the stairs, and open the chest to receive a Large Zonai Charge.

If you attached any pieces to build your stairs, unstick them before moving on to the real puzzle.

Returning to the real puzzle, the zig-zag-shaped four-block piece should go on top of the incomplete square to fill that portion in.

You should use the four-block corner-shaped piece that served as your stair base to fill the gap on the left-hand side of the square.

From there, grab the smallest three-block L-shape and use it to complete the puzzle by filling the gap on the right side of the square.

If you've done it correctly, then the last piece should snap into place as it gets to the right spot.

Progress through the door to claim your rewards.

Mayausiy Shrine Rewards

If you took the time to get up to the chest, then your total rewards for this shrine will be:

  • One Large Zonai Charge
  • One Light of Blessing

Zonai Charges can be used to elongate a Zonai machine's charge.

The Light of Blessing will be instrumental to survival and exploration once you decide between an extra heart or more stamina.
