There's a lot that we still don't know about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Like what exactly those floating islands over Hyrule are, or if there's some time travel related plot, or what happened to Yunobo. However, if the previous game is anything to go by, Nintendo probably wants us to answer all these questions for ourselves by exploring Hyrule.

It's unfortunate then that some people have managed to get copies of Tears of the Kingdom early and have been putting up leaks all over the place. The TotK Subreddit especially is plastered with spoilers, and should ideally be avoided if you want to experience the thrill of discovery for yourself.

The problem with spoilers for a game like Tears of the Kingdom – and even its sequel, Breath of the Wild – is that both games are primarily based on exploration. You never know what you'll find over the next hill, and that's the best part. So, even an image of, let's say, a Shrine puzzle is kind of a major spoiler. Just imagine if you had seen an image of the dragons from BotW before seeing them in the game.

Spoilers for the game's lore, world, and plot aren't the only things being leaked, but people have also been posting videos of Link messing around with the Fusion ability that lets you combine two different weapons to create something unique. The whole thrill of messing around and finding out is ruined if leakers start posting all their fused creations.

There are also images and videos of places from Breath of the Wild. One of the biggest mysteries of the game is finding out what happens to these places since the events of the first game; so, if you see a certain place that's in ruins or surrounded by enemies, that's another thing that's spoiled for you before you discover it for yourself.

Tears of the Kingdom's version of Ganondorf

It isn't clear how such a massive leak has taken place, especially for a company like Nintendo. The only logical explanation is that some retailers may have been giving out copies before the launch date. While we can't be sure, Nintendo will no doubt want to get to the bottom of this and reprimand whoever is responsible – as the company and its lawyers are known to do.

With the game still almost two weeks away, you can be sure that more spoilers will be surfacing soon enough, and they'll only increase in severity as well. You should probably stay away from Subreddits and forums about the game and also mute 'Tears of the Kingdom' on Twitter.

It seems Link has one more ability which still hasn't been officially revealed as of yet. You can be sure that there will be spoilers about that as well.
