While you only need to activate the shrine to unlock the fast travel point, you'll need to enter and complete the puzzles in side if you want to gain a Blessing of Light and acquire a handy early-game weapon. It's a fun one, and here's how to complete it!

How To Complete Zanmik Shrine: Scoop It Out

Tears of the Kingdom - Zanmik Shrine - Link standing by some metal plates

Zanmik Shrine is a rather short affair, containing only one puzzle - but what a puzzle it is. The massive wheel in the center of the room is the focus of the puzzle, and you'll need to use that to acquire one of the very large balls from the pit underneath.

Tears of the Kingdom - Zanmik Shrine - Chest

There is a chest hidden inside the ball pit. To find it, remove the balls one by one - it's located on the left-hand side of the pit if you're facing the side of the shrine with the ladder. Inside, you'll find a Strong Zonaite Longsword, which is a nice bit of kit.

Since the only way to get up to the second level is with a ladder, using Ultrahand will not work, as it cuts out when you try to climb.

Tears of the Kingdom - Zanmik Shrine - Connecting the two power lines

You'll notice two lines on the ground, lit up with yellow, electrical energy. The first thing you need to do to complete this shrine is to connect the two lines. To do this, use Ultrahand to pick up one of the metal tiles on the floor - they're to the right of the gap if you're facing the big wheel.

Place the metal tile between the two points and Attach it there - it should slot into place neatly, powering up the wheel, which starts spinning.

Now, use Ultrahand to pick up one of the balls and attach it to a separate metal plate. Attach this to the wheel with the ball facing the ground.

The wheel will spin the plate all the way to the top, where the ball will get caught by a scoop. From there, use Ultrahand to place the ball into the slot and unlock the shrine exit.

It's possible to great a wide scoop that brings many balls to the top, but this is the more efficient and reliable method.
