Move over, Blathers, there is a new museum in town! The National Videogame Museum has now opened its Animal Crossing: New Horizons exhibition.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has taken not only its islands, but the world by storm. From sneaker collaborations with Puma to it being rumored that it was the game that had actor Brendan Fraser so enthralled in a recent interview, New Horizons has been a powerhouse in the gaming community since its release on March 20, 2020. It has been so impactful to so many people, The National Videogame Museum recently launched a digital exhibition.

The exhibition is free and consists of “hundreds and hundreds of amazing experiences” that were submitted to the museum starting last December. The stories are categorized by “themes of Keeping a Routine, Staying in Touch, Sharing Creativity, Representing Yourself and Making Your Space.” The exhibition also includes a timeline of events that occurred during the game’s release - including the Black Lives Matter protests, the Trump-Biden election and more. The museum is still taking submissions to be included in the exhibition and they can be entered on their official website.

In other Animal Crossing news, a manga based on the game is now available for pre-order. The manga will give you a look at what the islanders do when you aren’t playing. Additionally, Target will be restocking more Animal Crossing Amiibo cards. The cards were released earlier this year in March and quickly sold out to the disappointment of many islanders. The restock will include the original Animal Crossing 1-4 series cards, as well as the Sanrio collection, which features some adorable characters - Cinnamoroll, My Melody, and Hello Kitty. And be on the lookout later this year, as Nintendo has stated more substantial updates will be coming.
