Roseway is just another small town in the deep space of the galaxy that players can travel to in The Outer Worlds. Players first hear of the town on Terra 2 by happenstance when Gladys offers a clue to what could be valuable data ripe for selling on the black market.

The Outer Worlds gives players multiple different endings. The fate of political space is in the hands of epic gamers. What may not become a second thought for people with strong opinions, may be hard for others when your choice can change the world drastically.

"A distress call from Roseway, a corporate township on Terra 2, was cut off mid-broadcast at the source. Investigate the call."

9 Investigate The Distress Call

The player is given an audio file containing a distress call from someone on Terra 2. To play this and advance in the quest the player must ask ADA on The Unreliable to play the message for them.

The message contains a video of Anton Crane of Roseway pleading for help. This gives the player enough info on who to look for when they land and how serious things are. After the call is played, passage into Roseway is activated. Travel to the Roseway port off of Terra 2.

8 Find Anton's Safe

Upon arrival to Roseway, the player and friends find the town in a state of disarray with dead Raptidon's lying about. Inside the town, different scientists can be found, all whom have lost valuable research to outlaws and Raptidons. Anton is found in the Comms building and from there the quest can continue.

A hike to a secret lab is mandatory in finding Anton's safe. The Covert Lab is not far from the town and inside will reveal guards sent by Anton himself. After talking to the guards, many different choices are now open for business. While searching the lab and its many locked doors and rogue robots, the player will find the safe to be empty.

7 (Optional) Deal With The Raptidon's

With the safe being empty, it's time to explore other options. The player will find objective markers to deal with the outlaws, Raptidons, and recover Anton's data. In one of the many storage rooms, up to four sedative gas canisters can be found.

With the gas canisters, the player can safely subdue a large mother Raptidon and her children in a non-lethal way. Shooting them blindly is optional too, though. Dealing with them will greatly help Anton and the outlaws for a safer environment. Keeping them alive, but harmless, using the sedative gas is helpful for the scientists' research development as the mother is being tested on.

6 (Optional) Eliminate The Outlaws

Outlaws have raided the area that these scientists workers have been experimenting in. Anton's guards can't deal with them so it would be beneficial to them all if the player got rid of the outlaws by force.

The player can negotiate with the outlaws' leader, Cassandra O'Malley. Cassandra is locked in a cell near the Raptidon research center. Negotiating means that they all leave the area and research alone without any bloodshed. Or the player can rip everyone to shreds.

5 Recover Anton's Data

Talking to Cassandra, who hollers the player over regardless of if she is noticed or not, reveals that she has Anton's data right in her pockets. She won't give it away willingly.

The player can trick Cassandra, temporarily agreeing to her terms, and end up killing her and taking the research. The other option is to share the data with her and get her and her group out safely. She can be convinced to part with all of the data even after saving everyone's hides and agreeing to her plan.

4 (Optional) Create An Escape Route

If the player agrees to help Cassandra escape, the next steps are to convince the security detail to let them pass, kill them instead, or clear out the docking bay of Raptidons.

Persuasion is enough to convince Porter, the head security guard, to let the outlaws pass and avoid total chaos.

3 Release Cassandra

Regardless of choosing to help Cassandra or not, she has the data that Gladys and Anton and you need. The keycard to unlock her cell with is on Chief Porter's office terminal. Using it, Cassandra can be freed or killed, and the data can be recovered.

An all-out fight can be avoided by persuading all parties to negotiate and calm down. Everyone can be killed instead, if the data is that important to the player...

2 Speak To Anton

Whether the plan is to help Anton and give him his data, or keep it to sell, the player must speak with him after to conclude events. He will still be located within the Comms building.

The options are to give it to him completely, lie about it's whereabouts and keep it, or simply refuse to give it to him. From here the quest will be complete.

1 A DISTRESS SIGNAL: (Optional) Sell All The Research To Gladys

This quest was given to by Gladys to finish another quest, A Distress Signal. During the time on Roseway the player will have acquired many different valuable items that Gladys will be itching to buy for a ton of bits. You can choose to even out the data, share some here, keep some there, sell some hither.

This part is entirely up to what the player wants. Bits or reputation. On one hand, Gladys pays handsomely and that's what the player has been searching for in the first place. Money. On the other hand, the scientists will still pay you for your duty of retrieving information that is very important to them and you won't be cheating anyone.
