Arcade1Up is letting fans prepare to bring Springfield home - as pre-orders for The Simpsons arcade cabinet have now become available.

Computer hardware production company, Arcade1Up, announced during E3 that a home arcade cabinet would be released in November of this year featuring our favorite yellow family to celebrate its 30 year anniversary. The Simpsons is one of the most beloved arcade games of the 90s and centers around Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa trying to save a kidnapped Maggie from Mr. Burns and Mr. Smithers, after the tot uses a stolen diamond as a pacifier. The family - wielding a vacuum cleaner, a skateboard, a jump rope and just plain old fists and kicks - chase the villainous assistant throughout the city, fighting henchmen along the way until the final battle against a robotic Burns.

The blue and yellow cabinet, which features the family on both sides, starts off at $529. The bundle that is available directly from Arcade1Up includes a riser, light-up marquee, stool, and a tin wall sign and costs $699. The game has live WiFi enabled without the need for a monthly subscription. In addition to Arcade1Up’s website, pre-orders can also be made with Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop and Target.

In other arcade news, Sega is currently being sued regarding claims that its well-known vending-machine arcade game, Key Master, is rigged. Claims state that prizes are won based on chances of luck - rather than skill - as advertised. By the same token, tragedy strikes arcade lovers in the UK as after almost 50 years, Namco Funscape London closed its doors on August 12. However, fans can still look forward to playing arcade games in their own homes, as Arcade1Up recently announced the release of even more gaming favorites in the near future. These cabinets include some fighting games, such as Killer Instinct and X-Men, as well as the beautifully groundbreaking interactive film LaserDisc video game - Dragon's Lair.
