Though we do love the base game as well as the numerous DLC's that make up the Sims 4 library, unfortunately, there are still some things missing from the game. Some of these things may have been present in other games that have been left out of this installment and others are things that the fans wish would have been changed or included in some of the new packs that have recently been released.

Today we will be discussing 10 mods that we wish the fandom would make in order to perfect the most recent installment in the sims series.

10 10. Open University

Though we do love the recent university pack, something that the fans truly miss from the Sims 3 was the ability to attend classes with the Sims themselves.

We would love a mod that allowed us to follow our sims to class in the sims 4 as we are not fans of being stuck at home while our sims go out and have all of the fun of attending a riveting lecture.

9 9. Playable Pets

Thought the pets from the Sims 4 might be the cutest pets from the entire series, the fact that players cannot even click on them to see what their needs are has been truly frustrating. Even if they were not playable, the ability to see what needs are low and need attending to would be truly appreciated.

Another thing we would love to be addressed would be the fact that pets need constant attention in order to prevent them from running away. It is simply difficult to run a full house and attend to the needs of all of the sims as well as addressing the invisible needs of a pet.

8 8. Bring Back Sneaking Out

Yes, teens can technically still sneak out if players have purchased the family bulletin board for their home and have set a curfew and then take their teen sims to a public lot in order to break the curfew. But that is not sneaking out as it was known in the Sims 2 and, if we are being honest, it is truly inferior.

In the Sims 2, in order to sneak out, all a teen sim has to do is call a friend and meet them outside at 1am. They will be taken off lot and will either return home in the morning or have their evening cut short by the police. We would love a mod that brought bad this version of sneaking out. Even the sims 3 version of breaking curfew was much more fun.

7 7. More Trait Slots

Yes, there are mods that allow players to "increase" trait slots. However, they simply do not work. The additional traits have no effect on the game nor the sims mood and are purely cosmetic. We want a mod that actually allows players to give their sims a reasonable amount of traits that affects the game itself.

Yes, you can get additional traits from the reward store, achieving goals, and other things like that. But the three slots that players get in the create a sim screen is simply not enough to create a fully rounded and unique sim.

6 6. Watch Your GPA

Another change that we would like to be brought to the Sims 4 is a GPA meter. Something that is a tad frustrating about this expansion pack is the fact that it is quite difficult to track your sims progress before the end of the semester (unless you email the professors individually and constantly to request updates.)

A simple GPA meter that updated at the end of the school day each day would be a wonderful way to prevent sims from accidentally failing a class, even though they did all of the assignments because they forgot to study or skipped a class or two.

5 5. Bring Back Whims and Fears

One of the best things about The Sims 2 is the fact that each sim comes with not only a whim but a fear as well. And yes, there is a version of whims in the Sims 4 but they are very different and better left disabled.

In the Sims 2, their whims and fears are based upon their personality traits, their age, their interests, and their relationships with those around them. This system was a wonderful way to see what your sim wants and figure out the best way to reward (or torture) them. We would adore a mod that brought this back to the game.

4 4. Colour Wheel and Open World

We have no idea how a modder would achieve such a feat but that does not stop us from wishing such a thing existed. One of the biggest disappointments from the release of the Sims 4 was the fact that both the open world and the colour wheel were removed.

It felt like a step backward for the franchise and it truly limited the players ability to create unique sims and designs. Finding a way to bring these two things back to the Sims 4 would truly be an achievement.

3 3. Bring Back Floating Heads

It may seem like a simple change that would not be missed by fans but the removal of the little floating head that accompanied every choice you were trying to make for your sim.

We are not sure how to create a mod in order to bring these little floating heads back but they are truly missed and we would love to see them back again.

2 2. Fully Functional Amusement Parks

This is something that has not really been a part of any of the Sims games but would truly be fun to experience. We would be willing to pay full price for an amusement park/carnival themed expansion or stuff pack.

However, we would be equally pleased if a member of the sims modding community was able to create a mod that allowed us to take our sims out on the town for a day filled with roller coasters and cotton candy.

1 1. Emergency Services

Something that was, bizarrely, left out of the Sims 4 was emergency services. And while it has been nice to not have to worry about burglars and such things, it is truly frustrating to have to figure out how to deal with fires on one's own without the help of firefighters.

Though there are some violence themed mods and career-based mods (as well as the in-game detective career) that have brought these figures back to the game, they do not come to the sims house to help them with emergencies and that is what we miss.
