Several of the mods in this list still receive creator support, and our latest update reflects those developments. Plus, we added four new Sims 4 quality of life mods that we think you'll love: Mod Settings Menu (MSM), My Little Neighborhood, MC Command Center, and WonderfulWhims.
17 Mod Settings Menu (MSM)
With so many Sims 4 quality of life mods, you'll need a central hub to manage them all. Thankfully, the Mod Settings Menu (MSM) by ColonolNutty provides the mod control center of your dreams! All you need to do is run the command, "testingcheats on," then open the Configure Mod Settings by shift-clicking on a Sim.
MSM has some limitations. For instance, a creator needs to add MSM integration to their Sims 4 quality of life mod for it to appear in the MSM. Furthermore, extensive mods like WhickedWhims and the MC Command Center are not compatible with MSM. Still, it's a fantastic way to consolidate settings for small-detail Sims 4 quality of life mods, like CustomSliderFramework and the OC mod.
16 Mortem
Death in The Sims 4 gets portrayed rather oddly. After a tragic accident, or a Sim reaches old age, they will collapse on the ground. Then, everyone will gather around the corpse to mourn. Meanwhile, the Grim Reaper makes his entrance, and family and friends can plead for their loved one's soul.
The Mortem mod by SimRealist removes this whole process, including the campy Grim Reaper visit. Instead, Sims must report a death to organize a proper funeral for their loved one, a unique event of its own. Several cornerstones of the grieving process are present in this Sims 4 death mod, including an option for Sims to go on bereavement leave from their jobs. Furthermore, the Sims 4 death mod continues to update for expansions. For instance, Mortem added a Cottage Living update that includes burial processes for farm animals.
15 Random Traits And Aspirations
When Sims age up, players can pick their Sim's aspirations and traits for the next age. It's nice to have this amount of control, but the game would be more realistic if these things happened in a less controlled way.

12 Explore Mod
Most of the activities in The Sims 4 are repetitive and similar. Even a handful of community lots, from gyms to pools to libraries, adds little to significantly change the game.

For instance, you can dedicate part of your 64 x 64 lot to building a home and add a public park right next door. Plus, randomly generated Sims will visit your new neighborhood. 10 Meaningful Stories
Emotions are an excellent feature. It's unique to The Sims 4, and makes for dynamic gameplay with short-term goals and tasks to accomplish. However, the mechanic's execution sometimes gets too predictable and unrealistic. Sims can quickly cycle from one extreme to another within the same day.

8 SimDa Dating App
Dating in The Sims 4 also feels generic. Usually, a Sim will meet someone at a park, bar, or cafe and grow close to them. However, even then, the controlled Sim must initiate romance with the other Sim. In the real world, however, there are various ways to meet new people.
