Though The Sims 4: Snowy Escape wasn’t the pack that introduced players to festivals, it sure did circle back to them in a way that made them feel fresh and exciting by offering three new festivals exclusive to the pack. All around the neighborhoods of Mt. Komorebi, you’ll find the bright lights and tempting smells of three unique, winter-themed festivals.

The Festival of Light

The Festival of Light is focused on community and taking time out to just enjoy your surroundings.

Sims can pause and reflect on those who have passed, while also celebrating the beauty and light of the world.

Where and When Is The Festival Of Light

  • Where: Senbamachi, next to Hanamigawa Koen Park
  • When: Every other Friday 6 pm - 2 am.

Food At The Festival Of Light

The Festival of Light's food stall is the Taiyaki stand, and you'll find it just across from the park, next to the vending machines.

Taiyaki are fish-shaped cakes that come with a variety of fillings, both sweet and savory. Traditionally these include chocolate, sweet potato, or cheese.

Festival Of Lights Festival Outfit

At the Festival of Light, you'll find a purple vending machine next to the Taiyaki stand. It sells traditional festival attire, which you can purchase and wear.

Only one Sim needs to purchase the outfit for it to unlock for your household.

The outfit resembles a Komon, a casual kimono with a repeating pattern that's often worn as a day-to-day outfit or for a small celebration.

What To Do At The Festival Of Light

At first glance, the Festival of Light appears quite limited, but there are a few activities to choose from.

  • Enjoy the bonfire with other Sims from the community.
  • Make a wish at the Tanabata Tree and watch the colored paper appear.
  • Honor lost Sims by following the path of candles to the graveyard and pagoda.

The Festival of Snow

The Festival of Snow celebrates all things snow-related and lights up Mt. Komorebi in a beautiful and enjoyable way.

Where And When Is The Festival Of Snow?

  • Where: Yukimatsu, next to the ski lift
  • When: Every other Saturday 3 pm - 12 am

Food At The Festival Of Snow

The Festival of Snow offers Sims the opportunity to try Ikayaki, which is grilled squid topped with soy sauce and is a popular fast food in Japan.

Festival Outfit For The Festival Of Snow

As this is a Festival of Snow, the outfit you can purchase from the vending machine is a snowsuit.

This blue and white outfit will keep your Sims warm as they enjoy the festival activities.

Activities At The Festival Of Snow

The Festival of Snow is the most limited of all the festivals since there aren't many specific activities. However, there are a couple of things to enjoy.

  • Have fun in the snow as the snow deepens for the festival, allowing you to play in it, go sledding, make snowmen, and more.
  • Admire the snow sculptures of Yamachan, a pagoda, and a dinosaur.
  • Say hi to Yamachan and grab a selfie if you see him around.

The Festival of Youth

The Festival of Youth is a unique festival because it celebrates children, an often-ignored part of the Sims. The event offers a few activities to enjoy and some unique interactions.

Where And When Is The Festival Of Youth

  • Where: Wakaba, in the square opposite the Hazakura Lounge.
  • When: Every other Sunday 10 am - 6 pm

Food At The Festival Of Youth

The food for the Festival of Youth is ice cream crepe cones, also known as Harajuku crepes.

They are thin French crepes folded in half then rolled into a cone, filled with ice cream and topped with fruit, sauce, or icing.

Festival Outfit For The Festival Of Youth

The festival outfit for the Festival of Youth isn't actually an outfit. Instead, Sims can purchase a Paper Kabuto (Samurai Helmet), for their children. They have different designs for different Sim kids and are an origami version of Samurai Warrior's helmets.

Activities At The Festival Of Youth

The Festival of Youth has a few activities for kids to enjoy. Some are regular activities, but a couple are unique to the festival.

  • Give blessings to child and teen Sims if you're a Young Adult or older to wish them luck.
  • Go on a Voidcritter Hunt as requested by Yamachan. They can be tricky to find, so check out our guide to Voidcritters for more help on locating them.
  • Dance with Yamachan to celebrate the vibes of the day.
  • Test your chemistry skills at the Chemistry Sets to experiment without risk to your house.
  • Showcase your artistic skills by using the art stations to make an inspired piece.
  • Flex your movement skills on the playground equipment.
